Actually the Tiger starting guards will have plenty of experience as both of them started several games last year. They should be Pheal Hill and Prentice Lane. Actually all 5 of the predicted starters started at least several games for the Tigers last year. Yes, they will greatly miss Shannon, Nick, Brady, and the other seniors but this group should be more than OK. However, you never know until they start playing.

I still believe the district belongs to Silsbee and H-J with Orangefield and WOS fighting for 3rd. On paper I would lean towards the Tiger's. If they can adjust to a new style of play, they could be very good. They should be able to dominate the boards. But with that said, I would have favored them last year as well and even though we beat H-J 2 out 3 times, we still had to share the district title. They are always ready when district rolls around. I can't wait for it all to start. Hopefully everyone will remain healthy and the district race should be fun for all.

Nobody has sais the Tigers are great, just better than BC. If we were great we would not have lost a game to a Dibol team that should not have beaten us. However since then we have been much much better. Yes, we could play like that again and get beat, but I don't see that happening.

Can't argue much with that but I'll let friday speak for itself. If the Tigers come out and play defense like the last 4 weeks and the offense does't turn the ball over a lot or back up from bad snaps, scrambling way back and getting sacked or penalties. Such as our 3rd and 63 earlier this year. We have done this well the last two weeks. If this happens then the game shouldn't be close.

Good post but we don't actually play Yates. It was a mistake. And not sure we cancelled the game last year Newtin was scheduled to play two teams at same time. So we picked up a high quality opponent instead.

I hope BC is getting better. I am just stating that statistics can be very misleading. Especially when two schedules differ greatly in strength.

"oh we will and just ask every other team we've played about our defense. bc gives up the fewest points in district with just 14. hmm.." BC may be only giving up 14 points a game but the only quality game they have played was against HJ and that was on a night where it was tough to score many points. None of those other teams have near the offensive threats that the Tigers have. And you still have to score against our defense who has been getting better and better every game.

I have one question for WOS fans and it is not meant as Silsbee vs WOS. Why do you feel WOS is so bad when they have only lost to two good teams? Jasper is real good this year and despite their record the Tigers are as well and have been improving every week.

I did also say that previous teams had stayed on their sideline side of the drill team.
