Honestly, DV how good do you feel the Tigers and Hawks will be this year?

How are the two polls that have been posted so inconsistent? One had the Tigers and Hawks at 4 and 6. That's quite a bot of difference.

I hAve to agree with Granny on the Tigers in that they very well may be loaded, but I definately disagree on the Hawks. They have 3 solid returnees and will be strong as always.I hope the Tiger can finally get that outright district title but would not be surprised by a split again.

I believe in the schedules thread AAW said he was given bad info and that game is not on the schedule.

Don't know the schedule but a it appears here. It was stated after it was posted originally that yates had agreed to fill this open date.

I have been reading this thread and honestly, who knows what team deservers its preseason ranking. Unless a team returns everyone or at least all major parts of the team you can't base a ranking on the previous year. All they can base these rankings on are returnees, coaches, and reputation. Being a Tiger fan I see great potential this year but until the season actually starts noone can know how that will turn out. After seeing the Hawks late in the season and once ot twice in the summer I see that they do have some potential in players other than Turner, Riccossa and Gustafson. Hopefully the size advantage will be the difference for my Tigers. Do these teams deserve their rankings? My answer is just as much as any of the others ranked in preseason. I am interested in seeing if Cleveland holds up to their ranking as well.

Congratulations Bulldogs on a good win.No matter how you want to look at that last TD, the player has to be congratulated for great concentration to make that catch while lying on his back. The Tigers as coaches or players have to figure out how to close games like these. This is two in a row that should have been won. Maybe we should have run on that last 3rd down but if we were going to throw it it was the right call. Prentice had been going up and catching those all night, that one was simply overthrown.

Yes the tigers defense did play better but way too many missed tackles. I saw many attempts just to knock the ball carrier down. Safety had to come over and try to make a play. Lumbertons last TD was a great play but also a blown coverage no Tiger went with the receiver.. Play calling was questionable for both teams at times. Raiders defense created many problems up front for the Tigers creating pressure on Johnson causing some poor decisions and too much scrambling backwards. Congratulations Raiders.

Hard to say but have the makings of a very strong team if we can get good play at point and find an outside game. Could have a starting lineup of 6'6,6'6,6'3,6'2, and 5'7 withe all 5 of these starting at times and being major contributors last year.

Two full time starters plus one more that started quite a bit the last couple years. Lost all stater Roibinson as well as sharp shooters Walters and Byars as well as a few more seniors.

Kountze this year could very well prove to be one of if not the best small school this year. They looked real good this summer. I believe the Tigers have the makings of a very strong team but will definitely be a different style than the last few years. Point guard is a question mark, as is just what lineup the coaches will use. And even though H-J lost there stars they will be there as well. There pt guard and center both made tremendous improvement last year and you know that staff will have them ready when it counts.

Silsbee (unfortunately didn't finish in this order but we were 2-1 aganinst the Hawks and feel our fist couple off the bench werea litle stronger than the Hawks)

Thanks Spinks for the compliment to last years Tiger team, I felt that they may have been the best as well but didn't get to prove it. Great to hear it from a Hawk fan.. Unfortunately , for us Tiger fans no team has won the big one yet, although there have been a few Tiger teams that were arguably the best in the state that year.
