Nederland @ Central Updates... Bulldogs win!
Sports Junkie replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Congrats to the Nederland team. -
It was a hard fight between two good teams. I want to say congratulations to Brenham. I am a proud Bulldog fan. I am so proud of all the Bulldog players on their accomplishments this year. You fought hard and never gave up and that is what makes a great team. For the Seniors, I know last night was your last high school game. You played it with pride and heart and all of you will have a great future. For all the underclassmen, you have a lot of talent and I hope to see you bring us back next year.

Dogs again another great game. Team ball wins it everytime. This season everyone has given 110% and it shows. You battle and never give up. Great hitting by Jordan Pitts, Kirby Bellow, Nick Cardenas, Cody Laird and all the rest of the Dogs. With a combination of the starting pitching staff Bellow and Dean and relief staff of Pitts and Smith we should be good for the next round. Keep working hard and play solid baseball and lets win the Regional Finals and go to Round Rock.

Seniors That Want To Play JUCO?

Nederland's Dean signed to go to Blinn and Vidrine is going to Lamar. -
I have the right to state my opinion on this forum. Evidently you don't agree. That is your right. You must have had a kid on the team in the last couple of years to be so sensitive. The truth is Nederland has always had alot of talent every year. I agree the right combination of talent hasn't been used in the past but I still stand on this year's group is performing more like a team. It has nothing to do with their competition. They are hitting better, they are working together and they are just playing better ball. All I wanted to do was congratulate the team on the big win. They are playing well and deserve a pat on the back.

*Nederland Vs. Vidor Game Thread..4-3 Nederland Wins!!!*
Sports Junkie replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Good game tonight Dogs. -
I agree the ump was not consistent but it seemed to me that Vidor was getting the calls the Nederland pitchers were the ones getting squeezed. Obviously you feel that feel the batters should have just gotten a free ride. But from where I was sitting those balls you were complaining about were strikes.

It was 4-0 Nederland at bottom of 5 when Dean came out and Jacob Pitts went into pitch.

Congratulation to Nederland for a well played season. You worked hard and improved each step of the way. I want to wish all the best to the graduating seniors on their future and look forward to a strong returning group next year.

I am also a parent and appreciate the post by Mrs Banner and by NHS83LU87. I hope everyone is reading these boards and know how proud we are of our students. Coach English and the Basketball team have been improving each year and have worked very hard to get to this point. Nothing should be taken away from our senior players. This is their night to shine. It is their last year and they need to stay focused for tonight. I am also very proud of our student fans. I don't agree with how the administration handled the student fan section but now we have some explanation. I know most of these boys and they are all good kids and should not be punished. We want them at the games to support their friends and fellow students on the court. Let's all pack the dome and show all students our support.

Calling out all Bulldog fans!
Sports Junkie replied to James Mosley's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Good luck to the dogs tonight. We need to pack the dome and make it all about the kids. Kids and coaches have worked hard to get there and deserve the support. It should be a great game. -
I agree...Nederland should pack the dome Friday night with dry erase boards that all have positive messages to support to DAWGS....I am not talking about students only.....ALL fans! What a great year for hoops!! ...... Playoffs, 20 win season, beat the State Champs in the YMBL....fantastic...I hope Nederland packs the house to come watch these boys play some great hoop...the dawg dome should be rock-in Friday night!!!! Let's all show our school spirit, everyone needs to show up with a dry erase board or sign. Parents, grandparents and students and be there to cheer the Basketball team on to victory. We all need to show our support of the Dome Dummies who are supporting their team and let the school administration know that they are not being fair and the fans don't agree. Let's pack the dome on Friday.

I am a Bulldog Basketball fan and parent. I find it shameful that the administrators are hassling the students that come to support the team. There should be no consequences because in my opinion they haven't done anything wrong. It is wonderful to see such support by the students of the school. They are just trying to have a little fun and I don't see a problem with it. I have been and seen first hand what goes on at other schools and they are not being inappropriate. I know HJ and LCM have big student following and can be rather loud in support of their fans. I didn't see a problem with it at their schools I encourage the students to be involved. Like someone said earlier at least we know where they are on Friday nights.

The Nederland Boys came out and played together as a team and ruled the court from the beginning of the game. It is good to see them playing together and doing it so well. #13 Torres was on his game tonight scoring 41 points. Congrats to the Dogs.
