  1. The Bears respect both Lumberton and Ozen. They have two chances to win one game to earn a playoff spot. If you made that offer to me at the beginning of the season, I would have taken that offer. I would not trade the Bears' position over any other team except Lumberton and Nederland. The Bears will play their best. If thats not enough, then so be it. They have been a classy team all year. They are winners no matter what happens. Go Bears.
  2. Craig Leger was dominant. A hat trick plus one as he scored 4 goals. He also added an assist. And, he cleaned up the stands after the game. He did it all tonight. Great Job, Craig !!!
  3. I'm sorry to hear that Central is still playing dirty soccer. I wasn't at the Central-Vidor game, but it sounds like Central just doesn't have any sense of sportsmanship. The players definitely play the roughest style of soccer in the district. On top of that, they flop all game long. Then, the complain and mouth off to the officials like they think they are "professional" players. In an earlier game, their goalie threw a ball at an opposing player, was ejected, and then stayed on the field another 5 minutes as he had to be restrained by several Central players or coaches. He should have been kicked off the team for such conduct. But, that never happened. And, how old are those players on that team? To the ref (or refs) who allow Central to abuse the opposing players, you better hope some kid doesn't get hurt from the dirty play. B/c these games are videoed. If the refs would merely do their jobs, Central and their dirty tricks would be shut down before it esculates to some level where it leaves a bad taste in a fan's mouth. Shame on you. This is high school sports. We should hope that sportsmanship has a place on this level. Hopefully, someone will look into this train-wreck known as the Central soccer program.
  4. Ethan McKay is a dominant goalie. He has kept the Bears in every game this season. If he's not all-district this year, then I will be shocked. Hats off to the PNG team, they played hard all game long. But the Bears defense is stout.
  5. LC-M 2, PNG 1.
  6. Nederland 1, Central 0. Final.
  7. #17, Vance Foster is an awesome player. As a freshman, he has been a major contributor to the LC-M squad this season. I expect bigger things from Mr. Foster in the near future.
  8. Nederland has a very solid team. Congrats on the win. Who was the official for the game? If it was that santa claus looking guy, then he needs to be banned from refing any high school games. He refuses to call any fouls. Some kid is going to get hurt b/c he lets the game get out of hand. The islander.
  9. Central 11, What were you guys going to show Nederland???? I'm sure you got them quaking in their boots ! From, The islander
  10. Central has some talent. But they are the dirtiest playing team in the district. They push, grab, and kick all game long. They don't have to do all that "extra" stuff to be a good team. That being said, the officiating was the worst that I have seen all season. The refs allowed Central to hold, push, and bump all night long. They permitted the game to get out of hand, and the kids could have gotten hurt. How old are the players for Central? They seem older than the other teams in the district.
  11. The LC-M back line was Juniors Seth and Colt Arteaga, Brett Heil, and Freshman Garhett Bonneaux. They played a great game. Senior Ethan McKay was awesome. Hats off to both teams. It was an exciting, hard fought game. Both teams deserved a win.
