Why is PNG at 90% for me? They are hotter than anyone else in SETX right now.... Chase Bertrand has established himself as one of the best backs in the area over the last few weeks (As if he had any more to prove) and their defense has done their job....  I think PNG wins and wins it by 14.... Why is Vidor at 90% for me? Defense... They are the best equipped team to slow down the Crosby twins in 20-4A.... Vidor has eliminated one key thing from the last few seasons and that's turnovers.... They hold on to the football for 7 minutes at a time and get points, not turnovers....  Vidor will win this one in a low scoring game.... And Nederland is a for sure for me because they are the best team in 20-4A and GCM does not have enough to keep up with them.... I for one don't think GCM would beat any of the four 20-4A playoff teams.... Nederland's defense allowed around 13 points per game before the Ozen game, and I haven't seen the average since.... And ask people from BH, Nederland should have beaten them.... What did you do against BH? And while I agree, Barbers Hill is a better team than Ozen, I believe that Ozen is going to provide matchup problems for the Eagles.... BH will have to find a way to corral some of that speed on Ozen's offensive unit, and they'll have to figure out a way to run it over Ozen's defense, because they WON'T run it AROUND them.... Now, if you would like to offer your opinions and give me reason other than "I'm from Dayton" or "I go to school at Goose Creek Memorial" then I'd be glad to listen!!!

KJAS out of Jasper is doing the game on the radio!  We looked into it, but they had already worked it out!!! I'll be there regardless, but since I won't be broadcasting I'll be pulling for the hometown Eagles!!!

Saturday night in Lufkin!

I'm from Rusk, so I have a little insight, although I haven't seen them in person this year.... Rusk has a few offensive weapons who are capable of breaking the big play.... #5 Chaston Bennett is the real deal.... Small back, but very quick and shifty.... Rusk defensively has had their issues at times, but when you look at who they have played, you can see how they have given up so many points at times.... They shut out Diboll 53-0 if that gives you a point of reference....

I'll be honest.... I see Nederland beating GCM and PNG beating Dayton for sure.... I think Vidor has a great chance of beating Crosby and Ozen has a good shot at knocking off BH.... I think 20-4A has a chance at going 3-1, and the sweep if Ozen knocks off BH!!!!!!

La Porte leads 14-0 now, with 8:04 left in the 1st quarter.... LP has ran just 5 plays!

Sitting here with about 15 minutes before we go on-air.... Watching the La Porte kicker warm up, he hit a 59 yard field goal, and hit the crossbar on a 61 yard attempt.... Trying one more time from 61.... If La Porte needs a 55 yarder to win the game, he'll have the distance....
