  1. Awesome game by Sam Houston. Good showing for the Southland
  2. He should probably be mad at all the money Education First "GIVES" to KFDM and the rest to the television market.  They also "GIVE" money to radio stations, and newspapers.
  3. FLAG WOS 13 Orangefield 13
  4. I know of two. Sunset Grove has their medal play tournament Labor Day weekend. And the Shorkey Center [Hidden Content] has a scramble set for September 12 at Wildwood.
  5. The 8th hole gave Stroud a hard time last year on the first day. I'm not sure what he did today but last year he put his drive in the trap in front of the water. From there he just missed the green and ended up in the water.
  6. OOPS! Looks like they put in two rounds today. Dawie didn't break the record he shot a 66 for his final round. Dawie ended up winning the tournament by 5 strokes. He takes home $15,000 for the victory. Casey Clendenon finished in a tie for 3rd.
  7. Stroud's last two holes were on NBC, since they were the last ones to finish before starting the third round.
  8. Dawie shoots his THIRD course record tying 64. He heads into the final round tomorrow with a 4 shot lead. Maybe tomorrow he can break the record.
  9. Stroud just sank the longest putt on 13 so far this tournament. A 48'4" putt for eagle to move him to seven under and into a tie for 6th.
  10. After a rain out yesterday Dawie shoots another 64 today to stay in first place at Lake Charles' Mallard Cove. They also have a note on the Adams Pro Tour site about Chris Stroud being winner on their tour and the good start that he has gotten off to this year. Stroud is doing much better this year in the Houston Open. He is 4 under after one round and tied for 20th,
  11. After one day in the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series at Mallard Cove, Dawie Van Der Walt and Casey Clendenon are tied at 8 under 64. That score ties the course record. Michael Arnaud of Orange is tied for 61st with a par round of 72. [Hidden Content]
  12. Sterling moved into a tie for first with a three under today. Arnaud fell back to 8th with a one over par.
  13. Make that FOUR locals. Scott Sterling from Orange is currently tied for 5th, in the Nationwide event.
  14. Jacks do something SHSU can never do. WIN on a neutral court. Good job Jacks, now make some noise in the NCAA's.
  15. SHSU is 8-0 in SLC tournament games at Johnson Coliseum under Bob Marlin. Simple as that. We do not lose at home when conference tournament games are at home sites. ;D And Tubbs was the one who pushed for the SLC to go back to neutral sites, changed the dates to Weds/Sat and plenty of other changes that have unfolded in the SLC over the last few years. He wanted to make this a basketball conference and now he's got football, which should be intriguing to follow what he does now. I'm not sure where you get your information from, maybe your second cousin knows a guy, who is friends with someone that knows someone. I doubt it is even that close to first hand information. I have heard TUBBS on more than ONE occasion say that he wanted the conference to bid the tournament out to schools in the SLC. This is the same thing that they do for the baseball tournament.
  16. Funny the games were in Shreveport LONG before Tubbs came back to Lamar. When they had home court sites I remember McNEESE winning it all NOT SHSU. But hey it it makes you feel better go ahead and keep posting it.
  17. The bad thing about Miles was that UTSA would not even run out on him when he shot a three. I was at the game and I can remember 4 3's that he took whith no defender on him. He missed three of those on being an air ball.
  18. This could be where the tide turns. You would have to think our shooting is going to heat up.
  19. 1 point game. COME on Defense. !!!!
  20. Missed our last 7 shots... 8!!!!
  21. 2 missed Ft by SLU. Then we have 3 chances on the other end and nothing.
  22. 3's aren't falling in the first half for CT. Have to hope for better in the second.
