Coop, Carthage underclass was loaded with talent. They spanked Newton and Kirbyville underclass. I never heard of Carthage until we played them in 2006 and they should have went to state that year. I think Jasper better bring their "A" game if they talkin about whooping Carthage or should I say winning district. Carthage was the fastest football team I've seen all year long last year. Kirbyville played excellent defense against tons of speed Carthage was bringing on every down.

I was just wondering how this game will turnout for the dawgs of Jasper. Carthage will be dangerous for sure!!!! These dawgs likes to fight back!!!

Kirbyville= Broderick Jackson and Aaron Breed, these two will bring the wood to YOU!!!! This gonna be interesing because Aaron will be a newcomer to varsity this year.

Your crazy if you think Kirbyville will beat Newton at home by two td's that is crazy talk. Yall will be fair this season and you I really don't think yall can beat us at home you will probably go deep in the playoffs but it will be with a 2nd place finish in district just like is has been for past few years. I hope my cousin Devin Jackson get to play next year. You think Rhodes was a beast, this boy here can fly with blazing speed at the RB position. Devin has been getting into trouble, but I'm trying to straighten him up. He is a very talented ball player as well as Pierce Rhodes.

Yeah....whatever man! Kirbyville had some crazy calls against them as well. You said Kirbyville don't play a lick of defense though. Kirbyville defense stiffened up against Carthage passing attack. Newton nearly got 50 points or should I say they would have got 50+ put on them if Carthage wide outs would have caught the balls. They were burning yall on every play with that blazing speed!!!

I not sure if the Dawgs will roll in their district because there is some more Dawgs called CARTHAGE BULLDOGS!!!! Tons of talent, speed and size. I will definely have to see this game!!!

Oh, they will be just fine!! The youngsters coming up doesn't know what quit mean. I'm absolutley positive that their heart will show when we hit the Singletary stadium.

We had our way with Carthage too.... Ya'll walk out of that game with a win only because of a couple of sucpect calls by the offials at the end that cost Carthage the win... So don't you worry about Newton and there secondary this is a new season with some new personel. Kirbyville does not play a lick of defense so im not sure what you are talking about with our secondary that is why your team has to score 40+ because yall's defense gives up 40+. Atleast we play defense and can keep teams from scoring over 28 points a game. Newton loss to Carthage 34 to 46 I do believe. Kirbyville defense step it up late in the 4th quarter defeating the Bulldogs 27 to 28. So don't get on here saying we don't play defense.

Newton normally have speed, but this past year they were slow as syrup with the exception of #21.

Newton does that to a lot of teams. They will get so far ahead of teams that they will get the ball and punt it back on first down. Also, yes we have done that to Kville a couple of times. I remember when I was in high school 95-99, we would would beat Kville so bad I would feel bad for them. It would be like 50-0 at halftime it was bad. They are going to be better this year though it might only be 30-0 at halftime, LOL just joking its going to be a good game this year I think. Barbay was smart enough to just schedule Kirbyville as a scrimmage after winning in a nailbitter 4 years ago. I'm predicting "Da Ville" to put on a show at the Singletary stadium.

They better grow up fast if they don't want a loss on varsity level. I can promise you that your eagles will have their work cut out for them. I watched Newton last year and their secondary is very weak. Carthage had their way with yall. I was surprise they didn't hang 50+ ;D

There have been alot of Newton citizens that are employed at the GEO Group doubting the eagles. Me personally, I think Kirbyville will run circles around Newton next year. Therefore, Newton better bring it because Jack will have the Cats prepared trust me. Carthage thought the same thing last year, but the heart was there and will be next year.

Newton has a good squad every year, but scat left and right isn't gonna work next year. Mr. Barbay might wanna try another method!!! ;D I'm predicting Kirbyville to prove alot of folks wrong.

I agree, but Kirbyville will be a powerhouse in 2008 and you can take that to the bank man!!!!

You have the right to voice your opinion, but I don't see Newton stopping Kirbyville at all. It should be a great game though.

I disagree with what you are saying. Only 11 players are allowed on the field at a time. Newton always been smaller than Kirbyville, but find their self competitive and not to mention whooping yall! ;D

Carthage has tons of talent and not to mention SPEED KILLS!! They will dominate this district no doubt.

Cleveland is getting pretty tough. I would like to see them dominate!

You guys chicken out on the Kirbyville scrimmage! I would be pretty embarrassed to lose to a 2A school to. i think that was a smart decision the coaches made.
