I know Evadale is undefeated in district and every other team has at least two losses. Not sure about the district records of them.

I will take Nederland. I think the Dogs will come out barking.

Sometimes a loss is the best thing for a good team. It wakes them up and lets them know they can be beaten.

The sign of a good team is winning the close ballgames. Buna is a very good team..like the saying goes: you are what your record says you are. I really think the Cougars can make a deep run this year. I know I would not want to play them in the playoffs because they do indeed win the close games.

BC..then HJ...then Jasper...I still think Jasper steps it up in the playoffs again. BC goes to round rock this year..Ive said that from day #1.

Sowell had a good game...I think that he is one to watch..could be the Dogs hidden card in the playoffs. Grats to the Bulldogs!

This game was what everyone expected. David Drake got the win behind several big innings by the Rebel bats. Drake did not seem to have his best stuff tonight but he bounced back and shut the Cardinals out after the first inning. The Rebels improve to 14-2 overall and hold a commanding lead in district 25 1A. The Cardinals hit Drake very well at times but some key defensive plays by Josh Tucker, the right fielder, sealed their fate. Congrats to the Rebels.

If the two teams even play. I heard there is a 60% chance of rain on Friday.

I think they have an excellent shot to make the playoffs. I believe that they finish the district in second place edging out Sabine Pass. Just my opinion.

seems to me that season gets longer every year.

Indeed pride does goeth before a fall. However, Evadale has someone who is a killer of pride: David Drake. He only gets better ever game and right now he is pitching at the top of his game and should make all-state with no problems. So HI faces an all state pitcher, a team with multiple sticks, a team with tremendous coaching, and a team that believes they should win. High Island indeed has a chance but a win by the Cards would be the upset of the week. I wish them luck.

Game could be closer than expected...but I think the Cougars continue their roll through the district.

Predictions? Should be a good one with a lot riding on the line for both teams. A win by HI would be huge but if they lose to the Rebels again then they virtually have no chance of catching them in district 25 1A.
