Hmmm...I went to some BC games at their gym last year and I saw some of the biggest heckling I've ever seen in volleyball. In fact, I saw it to the extreme that they switched sides when the teams switched so they would stay on the same side of the opposing team to heckle them and try to distract them. I have no idea what was said between the PNG/Nederland game but if they said things that were vulgar and crossed the line, then they should have been reprimanded for it. All I'm saying is heckling is part of volleyball these days. You don't think Hollywood has influenced our society??? I would have to disagree with you there.

Look at BC's boys times throughout the year. None of the boys had a pr. That's not their goal at district. They need to pr at regionals/state. Also, yesterday was really hot and I think Gilmore is Huffman's CC coach so I do believe he knows where they ran district. Same for Huffman...no reason to try and pr at district. They have a great team and I'm sure their goal is the same at BC's. Get to state and win it.

I wasn't at the game but I can assure that "heckling" goes on in a lot of volleyball games. I don't know to what extent the PN-G students did it, but I can promise you...they aren't the only school doing it. I bet the Nederland student body had their share of bad sportsmanship. It's the way it is these days. Not like when we were all kids. It won't change until Hollywood quits showing that this kind of behavior is acceptable and cool.

It was the 2nd game in round two. Every team has three games left. Percentage points BC is still ahead of Silsbee in district because of the Silsbee/WOS game that was cancelled. That game will probably have to be made up at the end of the season now. Big win for Silsbee. I don't agree with no one giving Silsbee a chance. BC's coach and the news gave Silsbee a lot of respect the night before on the news. Congrats to the Lady Tigers. Job well done.

Concentrate on the sport that is in season.

Nice to see those local teams there. BC is a good team but not sure if they could hang with Tarkington. Tarkington should be on that list. What happened to Barbers Hill...they were ranked about 5th earlier this year.

I've been impressed with Silsbee this year. Orangefield will be okay, they are the deepest program in the district last year. Didn't they go undefeated in district on the J.V. and Freshman level last year? They were tied for 2nd in district and only lost one player. Silsbee and Orangefield are going to have some good games this year.

I don't remember getting aggravated with anyone last year outside AAW and pitcherdad. AAW b/c he started knocking me...still don't know why. Pitcherdad b/c he was knocking players on his own team and I don't agree with that. This is going to be a fun year. All teams seem to be able to be beaten by any of the others this year. Sure don't want to see problems on this board b/c of trash talking. I did feel like some people from a specific school were trying to get that going. Just let the girls play. GLTA

I hear you AAW (intersting I'm on your side). I'm getting tired of these biased parents. People think they know this sport because they have watched their daughters play. I do believe saying that Silsbee didn't beat anyone in the Dickenson Tournament or so called this year...I call that a little bit of trash talking. Silsbee beat Nederland who seems to be one of the best teams around this year. bcsportsdad...I have went back and read your post...you seem to want to argue with a lot of people. One must be your daughter and since it seems East TX daughter is #4 (don't want to say her name)...who is yours? Look, BC is good this year and will fight for the district championship. Calm down a bit and let the girls just play the game.

Went to the Katy/West Brook this past weekend and sat on the Katy side due to better seating, and noticed a lot of parents wearing #9 on their shirts and talking about courage. Every time this young man ran out on the field the stands gave him a standing ovation...does anyone know his story? Seems like a great one.

After seeing the scores of Nederland's games this week, I agree with you. I believe LCM and Livingston will be fighting for that 4th spot.

I would have to disagree. I think that district will put out PN-G Livingston LC-M Ozen Lumberton is an improved team this year though.

It's going to be a battle for sure. Seems like all 6 teams are somewhat evenly matched. Better show up every night. Going to be fun to go see some games this year.

That's a good win for H-J, but those scores don't classify as a whooping in my book. Congrats on the win though. No night will be an easy night in this district this year.

I can see Liberty possibly stealing 3rd place after all Splendora lost. Being ahead of Huffman...I don't believe so, but you never know.

Not that I know of. Region 3 will be stronger than the past two years. It's the strongest it has been since BC made their run to the regional semi's. None of our local teams are at that level right now. Teams have some work to do to make a deep playoff run.

I don't know about #5. I thought the same thing when I watched them play last year. We aren't the coaches so we don't know what goes on in practice. I watched Silsbee play earlier this year and I would be shocked if they don't have her playing front row at times. I'm sure what you are seeing is her coming out on back row. I could be wrong though.

So Silsbee beat Lumberton in 3 last night and lost to Lumberton today? Interesting.
