1.

He's Kobe Byrant enough said!! I hate him I cant stand him. How many times did you see Jordan throw his hands up in the air crying to the refs when someone put a pinky finger on them? Its bullcrap if you ask me and I cant wait to see the Celtics celebrate on the Fakers home court!!
You must hate every current NBA superstar according to that logic
I'll never dispute the fact that Kobe is arguably the best player in the NBA (even though I can't I don't like...he comes across as a an arrogan jerk) and one of the top 5-10 all around players of all time.
Jordan wasn't an arrogant jerk?
But why doesn't he ever get a techn??? I've seen him do things with his body motions, attitude, and gripping at the refs that deserves a tech at some point. Maybe not a one certain instance but you start putting these things together and it's basically showing the ref's up. I bet if he would have done what Shed did in Game 4 I believe it was...could have been Game 3...he would not have gotten a tech.
Did you even watch the game?  Serious question.
Whoa calm down there Nancy. I never brought up Jordan...but since you did...no i don't think he was an arrogant jerk. I'm not a Kobe fan...he is still one of the best players I have ever seen. The dude's awesome. My only question is...why doesn't he get tech's? Rasheed deserved his tech...it was showing up the ref's when you do that. But tell me...what's different than what he did and Kobe turning and saying something to the ref everytime he is stripped of the ball, drives and misses and no foul is called. Especially when you throw your hands at the ref like they don't know what they are talking about...if you didn't see any of these things...did you watch games 4 and 5? Serious question. The guys a great player but I don't see any difference in the things he has done throughout the series and what Rasheed did. In both cases, it's showing the ref's up and I think it deserves a tech...jmo.
2. I sometime wonder if they get a little pssst from the league office...hey don't t up the superstar...it might hurt his image, therefore hurting our revenues...or if he gets too many t's and has to sit out our ratings will be down. Celtics better play much better Thursday...well I guess they can't really play worse

4. Oh man...hate to hear that. I hope she is going to be good for state and brings home two more golds.
5. They both ran a good race...the WOS kid didn't come out of nowhere by all means, but he wasn't expected to compete with the BC kid. Great job. Great race by both but now to regionals. This is the race that counts the most so far to get where I'm sure they want to be...STATE. GL...would love to see both of them there.
6. I just wanted to say that I've seen a lot of threads locked due to bashing of players/coaches and I would just like to say great job. I believe people on this site are getting way carried away and crossing the line at times. Great job of catching it when you can and locking those threads.
7. You are correct. I misread. I thought it said between the WOS and Tatum kid. My mistake.
8. I don't have a problem with Brenham and they are good in all sports. I think that's great in itself. Just wondering why they always seem to be on setxsports.  ??? It doesn't bother me...just wondering.
9. Why do you dismiss the BC kid? I would dismiss the WOS before him (not that I would dismiss either). The BC kid has been running around that 2 mark all year. I think it will be a great race by those three (if not more).
10. I don't even see positions listed on their website? I guess that means they have hired someone? So who did they get?
11. Can the community...well even the golden triangle for that matter...petition this?
12. Very impressive. I hope they have a great showing. 5'6" as a freshman...wow. That could be 6 by the time she graduates. What's the school record?
13. Well they are the best so I guess he won't be around. I would love to see him go to the Texans though. Do Kiper and Mcshay have him going to the Jags?
14. Pretty impressive indeed Aggies. I've heard the name of all those girls but I've never heard of the Johnson girl. She's not a freshman is she?
15. Ashley Johnson is having a great showing. Congrats to her. What grade is she in?
16. I haven't seen Kiper or McShay's mock drafts, but most of the other ones I have looked at has him going to the Texans.
17. Can you send it to me as well or a link to the results? Thank you
18. And they still have to play BC again.
19. Didn't the volleyball coach used to coach basketball? Is she a possibility or did they already hire someone?
20. People around here just don't like friendswood man...as a community of athletes they come across very cocky and arrogant. I don't personally have a problem with them...i don't anyone from there, but I do know a lot of the golden triangle does not like them so when they get the opportunity to bash them...they will.
21. Well there were definately more than 3 qualified coaches for the position. I guess if the top three might be taking a job elsewhere, then HF isn't staying in house.
22. Kids complain all the time. If coaches told an athlete to stop everytime they complained, almost all kids would start complaining so they wouldn't have to work out. Perhaps the coaches should have been more sensitive to the fact that he had two surgery's on his knee. Do you think perhaps the coach's thought if you can play, you can practice? Just a thought. I'm actually going to have to agree with fisherking on this one...maybe he shouldn't have been released.
And how did your son sustain the initial knee injury?? Playing jr. high football or an outside school sport such as? If your son hurt his knee running a mile than he probably should not have been released by the doctor so I think your blame should go to that source dont you? And I would be careful how much fact you take from your description of the "program" unless you have actually witnessed it with your own eyes, because you may be called to the mat on it and hurt your son even more in another year when he gets to the High School. To me it is another example of kids not wanting to do something and parents supporting their weak excuses. author=WJBooger link=topic=67983.msg785808#msg785808 date=1270268317] First off, I keep reading that this parent didn't want his kid participating in the weight lifting "program." There is no program or regimen or plan. It's just a bunch of junior high kids sent to a weight room to do whatever while the coach is off taking care of other business. My son has informed me that the coaches are not present while the lifting is going on. Secondly, we are accused of believing we know more than these junior high coaches. Quick scenario: after two knee surgeries in eight months, my son was released to play junior high basketball. After playing in a school basketball tournament one weekend, my son was required to run a mile on Monday. Halfway through the mile he started complaining about his knee hurting. He was made to finish the run. Later that night, his knee was the size of a small melon. Tuesday back to the doctor and now we are shut down until May. Tell me how I am suppose to trust my son's welfare with these coaches.

23. First congrats to the little dribblers making it as far as they have. However, can you really expect a school program to work around the sports that are going on outside of school? If that's the case school programs would never be able to do anything because kids are always playing something outside of school. They do too much if you ask me.
