Well folks we are still around. We will be having signups Saturday Jan.13 and 20th at the Bridge City KC Hall and also at OrangeField Elementary from 9am till 2pm. We have received several phone calls from folks interested in coaching, all have been notified to show up at registration and fill out apps. We are expecting a good turn out and will once again get back into the coop game after being hampered by repairs from Hurricane Rita last season. BCOFGSA has been contacted by all the leagues for coop games. We are expecting to start coop play in late February or early March. The 14u group will be strictly a District 39 coop league. The other age groups will also coop but also play league games. BCOFGSA will also host 3 coop tournaments this year. The 6U/8U tournament will bring and estimated 18+ teams to the Bellaire fields in March. A very big and financially rewarding tournament. BCOFGSA will also host the 10U AND 12U groups, one in April and one in May. BCOFGSA will also request a District tournament for one of the age groups. There will be 6 coop tournaments this year and we estimate each BCOFGSA team to get ~25 games or more under there belts before the district tournaments begin. These girls will only get better facing different types of competition from all over the Golden Triangle. In the past BCOFGSA has usually sent more than one team in each age group to the state tournament and that will probably be the same this year. Our 2 local high schools are seeing the benefits of this league. At the high school level they are playing against girls they have seen throughout there ASA careers. See you at the ballpark.
