Way to go Bulldogs!!!!! Getting ready for District

Great job so far....lets take two today.

I had the pleasure of going to Stillwater for a week of Gary Ward's baseball camp in the late 80's. I quickly found out that he was an innovator in hitting.  I tried to keep up with OSU baseball after that, but lost interest when Holliday took over. Makes me wonder if Eskimo Joe's cheese fries are still around?  ;D

[/quote] At West End, we have a modified kid pitch.  Kids don't walk.  They either hit or a coach comes in and gives them 3 pitches.  We also don't score on wild pitches.  Since we have 2 years of coach pitch before the 8 year old year, i think they are ready to get the  on the mound and get  ready for the minor leagues.  Also good for the hitters to see some live pitching before the 9 year old year.   Pure kid pitch can be slow at that age, but the modified system works out well for us.  JMO [/quote] Sounds good and fun.
