I can see both sides to this argument. Everyone hates to see things in their past go. Its obvious you have to keep up with times and upgrade and provide the most up to date enviroment for the kids. The change has to be made like it or not, but there is nothing wrong with the so called "tea baggers" holding on to their past and being upset that it has to be changed. Is there really a need for this debate? SFA what does this have to do with what side of the track your on? Your the only one making that an issue. You are getting on to them for not wanting to let go of the past!! Right?? well it sounds like you need to let go of the past too!
Nice statement ^ People in Nederland must not see it your/our way. Hopefully we can try again for some needed upgrades. -
Sorry bout that... Not over Bellow, but the other Kid. Smith...

Well, it's not about 'the love' for Nederland Football, but rather how I'll think it'll pan out. I am aware of your injury situation last year. But I think that was a blessing for you guys. I think the kid that ended up playing close to the end of the season should have been starting the whole season. But then again, that's my opinion. With that being said, you barely made the playoffs. It will be a tossup between Ozen and you guys for 4th... Beaumont Central (Lot of good pieces here. Young gun QB and D. Heard who averaged 9.5 yards per carry last year. Not to mention we will have a good defense as usual.) 2. Port Neches Groves (They are the champs with a great system in place will come down to the last game of the season) 3. Little Cypress - Mariceville ( Gonzalez is back and another year under Coach Crouch's system. Also, the hotshot all district reciever comes back) 4. Beaumont Ozen ( Been hearing rumblings in the street that Ozen will do their thing this year) 5. Nederland ( May do better if they can get their QB situation under control) 6. Livingston ( Seems like the talent well maybe down over there) 7. Vidor (Best chance of success was last year. Now, I just dont know) 8. Lumberton (back to you 'normal')
ohh come on soulja.. no love for the dogs this season? after all the injuries last season we still made it to the playoffs.. as far as our QB situation being 'under control'.. i love the fact that we have two, maybe three Qbs competing for the job.. they are all different qb's which means Barrow (OC) can really open up that playbook and use several packages.. cant see LCM getting in there before Nederland, but then again I am biased :D as far as me ranking them second to last, its not that i dont think they are talented, but ive been hearing they are going to have some problems in the trenches.. and folks, whether we want to admit it or not, the trenches are where games are won.. you can have the most talented backs or receivers, but if they cant open up holes or protect the QB, you are looking at big problems.. but at any rate I do wish all the teams the best of luck and to stay healthy.. I like playing other teams when they are healthy..

Start over Kirby Bellow? No way

Kind of thought you might have forgotten about that.

Garrett Whittles (FIU), what is he? soph, jr, sr? If he is underclass, what is the draft outlook? If his season ends without a chance to break Ventura's record, does he come back for an attempt or does he take the money and turn pro. Pretty sure it would all depend where he is drafted and how much $$$.
Wittels is a sophomore and not draft eligible. He will be back at FIU next season.
Thanks bulldog for the info. Another funny story about Nolan. I remember during his retirement ceremony, the Rangers had given him two head of cattle as a gift. One was named "Robin" and the other "Ventura"

Two good options. Not a bad problem to have! I would have to go with Forney after the way he led the team at the end of the season. But if he can help you more elsewhere because you have an established QB to step in (Smith) it creates a delima.
I understand Sonnier has been working nothing but QB :o I figured this would happen..But it would be hard to take him from the safety pos. He would be a great spread QB..You never know with That nederland coaching staff ..
You're right. That nederland coaching staff will definitely put the team in the best position to win. It will be a nice "problem" to have if they can put several different players in several different positions. -
