Don't know how anyone has been able to play with all the rain. Those of you who have are lucky, DD team has not practiced in 3 weeks because fields are too wet.
You are so right, but luckily enough we are finished until summer, now we are into high school ball in less than a month.

COLD, COLD, COLD weekend in Bossier City
mjones830 replied to mjones830's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Yea and speaking of the heaters, I went today and bought me one; I will not be without one the next time we are out in 24 degree weather. The girls who showed up and played are impressively tough. ;) -
Played in Bossier City Showcase this weekend and it was extremely cold….about to froze death on the first day and wimped out for the Sunday games, had to trade to diamond for the hard court (VOLLEYBALL) it was warmer. Orange Crush Gold Harrell and Brown played some good ball and won 8, lost 1 and tied 1. Good job ladies….

Gabby I did not realize that she lifted weights, have to get a shout out to her as well, we know that sophomores don’t get any recognition, maybe I can get AJ into power lifting or holding the water bottles for them….. lol -
LCM will have 3 girls for sure again. Senior Katye Harris , Junior Megan Fontonot? , and Soph Megan ??? can't think of her last name. All 3 should be strong in their weight classes. I do have a little one in 7th grade that weighs about 80lbs soaking wet that has started. She deadlifted 135 last night.
Soph - Maygan Crosslin -

I’m not making excuses or taking anything away from a very good Magnolia team but we made too many errors and did not get the support we needed at the net. We had way too many service errors; we gave up as many as 20 points on bad serves along. When you get into the playoff you cannot make these kind of errors and expect to win. :(
What they really need to do is play in the Pearland tournament. They will get some great experience.
They play in the Northwest Tournament in Dallas each year the YMBL and Barbers Hill, not sure but is there a limit on how many you can play.

thats 2 game lcm could have possibly won. but gonzale seems to throw pick in the redzone quite often
Someone in Lumberton took some great pictures, about 1000 of them of this game. Just browsing the pictures I seen several of them with the quarterback placing the ball in the hands of the receivers, one particular, “I will not say name or number†dropped just about everything thrown to him. Yes Gonzales threw an interception at the end of the game; however, it might have been a different ending if the receivers would have caught the ball. If you want to contend in this district you’ve got to make the plays, or sit the bench. Congrats to #9 SONNIER, who played a good game and breaking the school record for receptions. -

First off congrats to Lumberton on the win, this is my first game of the year and the Bears future looks promising with all the Jr’s and sophomores on the field. The Bears passing game looked pretty good with exceptions of all the dropped passes, many passes hit the player’s right in the hands or chest and were not caught. Number 9, Sonnier looked very impressive though he appeared to be the only Bear receiver that was able to catch the ball. -

Just attended the first ever Stars over Texas in Victoria, Texas, there was a small turn out however, I strongly believe that this event will grow to possibly the largest SOT event in the near future due to the extremely nice complex. Unlike FORD PARK, the fields were maintained professionally by the CITY and the concessions were reasonable and delivered great food. Also, even though a small turnout, I did see several college coaches at this event, 10 maybe 15 coaches total. Several of the coaches walked around observing the games in their non-coaching apparels which made it difficult to tell who they were.
