  1. Here is the thing about Livingston. They look the part. They have big and athletic kids. The right coach could really turn this program into a winning machine if they can establish a new identity and culture. It was obvious all season the guy who resigned had one foot out the door.
  2. Well for the past 10 years at least BC Baseball has FAR exceeded the fortunes of the football team. 😂
  3. Pump the brakes! Bridge City should have a pretty successful year on the basketball court and soccer field before we own the baseball diamond.
  4. So you’re a sarcastic troll. Thanks for clearing that up. FYI 99% of stuff you post is sarcastic troll garbage that is often full of misinformation.
  5. Oh look! The other troll @Right99JOH came out to play. Commenting some bs as usual. Nobody is saying or has said anything about contacting the UIL or saying anything besides losing a hard fought game to a strong Pine Tree team. How about next time before you spew some garbage in a comment, you actually read through the thread and understand what’s being said. Otherwise, you commenting is just a waste of everyone’s time.
  6. @setxathlete14 Just admit BC is a pretty damn good team and stop discrediting what they did this season.
  7. BC didn’t have their top receiver that makes them 10 times better on O vs LCM but nobody said anything about that so why mention it here?
  8. I’m painting a picture for the future of Bridge City Football. Which is an exciting one. The loss is acknowledged, but BC far exceeded expectations. Even against the #7 team in 4A D1. By all accounts, including yours, it shouldn’t have even been a game.
  9. “BC kept it interesting as they should have” most people said this team was gonna get demolished by Pine Tree. BC put up more points on #7 Pine Tree than all but 1 team this season. That’s more than Kilgore, Gilmer, Lindale, Henderson, and Chapel Hill scored. That’s impressive company and something BC can hang their hat on looking forward to next year. I expect BC to get a lot better this offseason with some much needed continuity with the new coordinators and head coach. BC and Huffman represented the district and SETX well. The other two got skull drug. One was justifiable considering they had Kilgore on the road.
  10. Nothing to be upset with after this loss. Cards were in it till the end and the kids showed a lot of guts. They truly left it all on the field. Future is bright for this team.
  11. Imagine if Vidor beats Kilgore.... The shockwaves across the state would be enormous!
  12. Orangefield steamrolled their entire district besides Coldspring. I feel like they are getting better at running the spread each passing week, and I don't see Fairfield stopping them. Orangefield by 3 TDs
  13. 1. Atascocita 2. Clear Springs 3. Summer Creek 4. Angleton 5. La Porte 6. Huntsville 7. Marshall 8. Texas High 9. Longview Pine Tree 10. Tyler Chapel Hill 11. Lindale 12. Jasper 13. Silsbee 14. 14. Livingston, Huffman, HJ, and LCM all had good games on the ground vs BC. I worry about the run defense considering Pine Tree is run heavy and will be leaning on the run if their starting QB is truly out. While they do struggle against the run, BC is still scrappy on defense overall. If Pine Tree becomes 1 dimensional on offense, I think BC will be able to adjust. I am hoping they can force a couple turnovers. Regardless, they have to have a good game offensively. It will be a long night if they can't capitalize on their possessions/takeaways.
  15. The passing offense has been absolutely dreadful lately with too many turnovers, bad QB play, and the OL got absolutely manhandled by Huffman. Running game has been BCs strength all season. If their offense can get Sumrall rolling early, I can see the defense creating a couple turnovers to make this game close. I have a feeling the offense will continue to struggle to generate points and rely too much on the passing game. Defense should be capable of keeping it within 2-3 scores. Overly Optimistic: BC wins a close thriller Realistically: Pine Tree wins by 2-3 scores
