Granted I want Silsbee to win. But I think Yates would be Center.

Closer than I thought

Ok where to start. First off Centrals losses. 5 were not to ranked 4A teams. If any 2 were. Center and LCM. Next they also loss to Cushing . Not a good loss. Vidor who is 5A but MAYBE close to average this year. And a 3 Point loss to Woodville who at the end of the day was a little above average 3A. Second Kountze was missing a starter and key bench player at the big Sandy tournament. And I’ll give you Kountze wasn’t that good this year. One key factor is that it’s the playoffs now. You can pretty much throw out scores from the regular season. Teams are 1-0 now. I don’t think EC will blow out Central no but I think EC will win.

I’m not judging Jones. It’s the whole Kirbyville higher ups especially that superintendent

I think Joubert is the X factor here. The past couple years no one really thinks Kountze will do much in the playoffs (including me). Yet they put together a run some how. Joubert has done some amazing coaching jobs with Kountze when facing teams with more talent.

The talk of Joubert leaving Kountze has been going on for a few years now. I just don’t think he is leaving

I’m not saying he didn’t. It still doesn’t look good.

Central Heights beat Trinity 62-48 in Bi district while Kountze beat East Bernard 102-63. I think Kountze will have show up and play well if they wanna take this one. Whoever wins this game will face the winner of Coldspring and Hitchcock. I also think whoever wins this matchup (Kountze/Central Heights) will be the favorite in the next round.

Same thing I was thinking. And indeed if Kirbyville wasn’t happy with a Regional Finals appearance... tough crowd .

I knew East Bernard lost a lot of seniors from last years team. Figured Kountze should win this one.
