I agree about Clarksville the next couuple of years winning state in 1A... and your right about Kountze getting there.. we have to get past New Waverly! I know if i was a coach who was gonna have my team at regionals or at the state tournament i would have someone there to scout this game!

Sabine must have gotten better lol Guess they are ready to try and stay within 20 of Kountze ;D

I imagine the top 4 in 2A will stay the same the rest of the regular season.. but IMO Kountze should be ahead of Clarksville... they beat Sabine by 1 pt at home when we beat Sabine by like 25 on a neutral court

Not saying that EC will win, but they will not get blew out like Kountze has everone  else. EC play them close at Kountze untill the 2 half, and Kountze will not have their hand picked UIL Refs that bring their on homecooking ;)  EC is the only team to hold Kountze to 90 points and no oops ;D in Dist. so far. Well Kountze and New Waverly are prolly the two best 2A teams in the state... It sucks that they have to meet in the regional quarter finals and not at state.. But I look to see Woodville, Kountze at the regional tournament in tyler:)

[/quote] No, the team fortunate to be in a pretty weak district will be the 3rd place team from that district, not Woodville.  Woodville would be a playoff team in probably any 2-A district in the state.  This doesn't guarantee anything come playoff time, but Woodville will be in the playoffs and it has nothing to do with a "weak" district.  Now, as for the "they want absolutely no part of Kountze" comment- outside of New Waverly in this region, who really does??? Kountze did only loose to Milby by 15 I was on the Kountze bench for that game and it was close through the entire game....

HJ loses their post in the Kountze game with 4 min left in the 4th quarter and it made absolutely no difference in the outcome of the game. That would not be the case in the Silsbee game. They will find a way to take advantage of the situation. For HJ to win they will need to be better than either game they played against Kountze.
