Just wanted to update you guys on how our districts playoff picture is looking nearing the end of district play. T1. #19 El Campo 19-4 (6-1) T1. #23 Bellville 17-7 (6-1) 3. Sealy 7-17 (4-2) 4. Wharton 13-8 (3-4) El Campo’s one loss was to Sealy. El Campo and Sealy split the district series. Bellville lost at El Campo on a walk off in the first round of district play. Bellville plays Sealy and El Campo at home this week, so big week for us. How is the rest of the region stacking up playoff wise ?

These two anchored the Bellville 4x100 relay team to a District win. Briggs for some reason couldn’t run at area and they finished second to El Campo who they beat at the district meet. Curious how regionals turn out

Over the last month Richard Reece has received offers from HBU and Texas State. Robert Briggs picked up his first offer from Utah State today. Glad to see there hard work paying off. I’d be surprised if more offers didn’t come rolling in.

I can assure you that some schools have more athletes and succeed more because of that fact. Not always the case but a lot of times it is.

We will see how it goes for the new coach.. You can have 50-70 kids come out but if there isn’t talent then it doesn’t matter

I know it’s still early... But when is the last time Bridge City didn’t make the playoffs in baseball?

Yeah true. I imagine that 21-4A vs 22-4A in bi district may even see teams that have already played each other this season. I’d imagine our district will sweep 23-4A in the first round. I hate having to play the HISD district in Bi District.

With everyone starting District yesterday and some next week what’s everyone feeling about their teams so far? I’ve noticed Bridge City has been struggling recently. Bellville is about where I expected them to be so far. Maybe a little better. What’s the rest of the region looking like

The only Coach that won the State title this year should be the one to get it.

No doubt he is one of the best and I wasn’t doubting his coaching abilities. He was my favorite coach in high school and a great person, But like most all time great coaches the talent has been there to

Eh... it takes the coaching and talent. Some coaches can do more with less but some never have to:-)
