Which is weird... because Volleyball in the Golden triangle is meh at best these days. Haven’t kept up with softball so idk... but I’d think of all the girls sports that girls basketball in the area has had the most success

Kountze was down 41-46 at the end of the third I believe. They also retired Grayland Arnold’s football Jersey tonight. Thought that was pretty nice of the school.

Silsbee probably beats Navasota at area... our district outside of Brookshire Royal was meh lol

Dobie also wasn’t good for a 1 seed at all... Weak district and anytime they played a good team in non district they lost by at least 10.

HJ will face El Campo in the next round

Probably the last time Lumberton won a district with Silsbee in it before this year.. never lol

They have a solid 8th grade group. Hasn’t lost a game yet. Assuming they transition to high school well enough Kountze will have 2-3 successful seasons with a playoff run or two out of it.

Eh maybe... but it kinda goes back to the argument I made back in football about them and people gave me crap. They haven’t played anyone really. That concerns me as the playoffs get going.

Yeah idk why people keep saying “Oh Lumberton is young to”. Look... Lumberton has a D1 player and a great coach. Silsbee isn’t near what Silsbee usually is. That’s why Lumberton won. Overall I don’t know if a team from this district makes regionals this season, but we will see.
