Navasota has puzzled me this year…. We beat them 9-0 and 12-2… they sweep El Campo who we split with but very well could’ve beat us both games. I guess it’s all about matchups

Yeah I’m not surprised… we destroyed Fulshear when we played them at their tournament this season. Didn’t look like they had much pitching

They had like a 4 game skid in district but their overall body of work looks pretty decent. Definitely not your typical 4th seed

Oh me to. I mean it’s high school baseball so you never know I guess… I’m curious if they were missing some kids or something

Just noticed that 4A #13 and defending state champions Pleasant Grove were bounced in the first round by Kilgore in three games 4-3,2-3,2-3. PG returned 8 starters from last year’s championship team.

You also gotta factor in we’re they recruited to pitch or something else and just have a good arm so they pitch in High school.

Congratulations to these young ladies on a great season. Kountze prior to this year had only ever played a play in game to make the the playoffs several years ago. They fell to New Waverly 6-4 in the Area round last week. This team is made up mostly of freshman and sophomore’s and will compete for a state championship IMO over the next couple years. Proud of how far my hometown program has come.

Navasota has been inconsistent this season… sometimes they just fall apart in the field. They split with Sealy and swept El Campo in district but I watched them both times they played us and Bellville had no issues.
