Corruption in the Beaumont softball league

Beeninnikes, I must correct you on your post. The #1 seed played the #3 team, #2 had a bye because the #4 team forfieted. It was Aces, West Cont, Outsiders, Clown Punchers, then BallBusters(not on playoff bracket) therefore only a four team bracket. So #1 played #3, and #2 was supposed to play #4. Yea #3 basically had an easy game due to a forfiet. The bracket was correct, but the ego's of a few Ump's was what caused all the controversy. -
ESPN2,, the smell is all the dead fish in Bridge City from IKE!

HOME TOWN PRIDE AND TEAM LOYALTY??? Just ask Coach Bryant how much Loyalty is in BC.

CardDad09, you have alot of nerve calling Matt's move selfish. Yea, Bridge City Baseball is losing one of its best ball players ever and probably the MOST UNSELFISH persons to play athletics at Bridge City. I know personally that Matt made this decision on his own. No pressure from friends, family etc. I applaud him for making such a mature decision. Making a choice of this magnitude at the young age of 16 is a show of his dedication to something he dearly loves which is baseball. If you think for one minute he didn't have reservations about leaving his friends, family, and all the coaches he has grown up with in the Golden Triangle, you are sadly mistaken. If you can't understand the decision that Matt has made, please keep your SELFISH opinions to yourself. Yea, its stressful now so please don't add more that IKE already has. Geaux getem MATT, Were all supporting you in WINNIE,,,, Uncle Rip

Your right Skeet, Buff hit the roof that night. (hit more then that in the fieldhouse) The player you were tangled up with was me covering third for some reason in the rundown. All these years I thought it was Wayne Scales. That game was pretty close to getting out of hand both on and off the field. Good old cross town rivalries -

SteelerCzy,, haven't talked to Perk since our 10 yr reunion. He was living in the Dallas area then. Yea the LCM and Bridge City games in 82 was something to see. LCM home game was under protest by Coach Buff and then BC had to face Perk on their home field. -

You talk about a small world,, If you see Reid tell him Rip said hello. He was one of my closest friends at Sam, he practically lived at my trailor. And yes I do remember the shot you hit out to start the game ( a memory I would like to forget). We beat Tomball the next series and was then beat out by Austin Westlake that went on and won State that year. -

Eagle07,,thinks for the memories. I played on the LCM team in 1982 when we played Chanelview in the playoffs. I pitched the second game and you are right, Perk could bring it. Pretty intimadating to face a 6'4 200lb. pitcher who throw 90+ and had a nasty slider to back it up. -
