I guess they are still trying to punish him cause he just stood there most of the night holding his helmet waiting to go in. He is the best running back we have and a great defensive player. He paid his dues...now put him in the game.
How many times are you going to reappear on this board, "tam?" Aren't you the same one who gets fussed at by the moderators, then gets banned, and later shows up again with a revised username?  Isn't that you? Yes, I agree Simien is our best RB.  I'm ready to see him out there and it will happen when the coaches decide it's time.  Our running game looked good last night.  #35 will make it even better.
Aren't you the one always on here whining like a little ****** cause a female keeps putting you in your place. What do I care about what these moderators say? Are you kidding me? I have just as much right to state my opinion as the rest of you. I guess your feelings still hurt from last year little boy grow up. I have some midol you can take...emotional ***.
Bwahahahaha!  "Cause a female keeps putting you in your place...your feelings still hurt..."  Hilarious!  You don't remember anything except just being mad, but thanks for affirming you are who I thought you were, ms. moore.  You are in another galaxy. By that latest outburst, you're picking right up where you left off.  I see another banishment and a "tam0004" signature in the future.

 4.
KOGT did not broadcast any of the Vidor playoff games, SETXsports did. As to whether Vidor is in Orange County, I believe that to be a geographical fact that neither we nor KOGT can reverse. Nor is it any real surprise that KOGT's signal does not go very far....that has been the case since I have been a small child and that because of that, KOGT has decided against broadcasting Vidor games.  But if it makes the those who reside in the municipality of Vidor feel better to cast themselves as the victims of some blackout conspiracy against the Vidor football team and have me, Gary, and the Enterprise staff be the co-conspirators, go right on ahead.  I don't think any of us co-conspirators will lose any sleep over those allegations.
Well said, Grad. Spoken like a true courtroom diplomat.  ;)
 5.
Hence the reason why I thought this thread was completely unnecessary.
Exactly.  Chalk it up to some fans being bored, wanting to promote their team, looking for an early season confidence boost, or whatever.  The trivial rabbit trails are never ending on this board. Again...so what.  Bring on week zero.
 6. If the game were played today, Coldspring would win.  But...so what.  As the season progresses, that forecast could change.  I have no doubt WO-S will be further along by season's end.  WO-S fans, coaches, and players will be focused on one game at a time and not thinking about Coldspring.

Perhaps we should start our own republic.
Based on the "score" of that little scrimmage?  OK...whatever you say.  8) Grad, nice work on adding KOGT.
I would be more than happy to make a wager if we played for real this year. You got clobbered in the scrimmage and you would get clobbered in the game. You had "0" running game except for your quarterback who was running for his life...
I would enjoy watching the two teams play in a real game.  It would definitely be competitive.  My point was aimed at the comment about Vidor being the best team in Orange County...that if you're basing it on a scrimmage, that's not a good gauge.  The scrimmage included no special teams, no week-long game planning by the coaches, playing a lot of subs, and no returning fumbles for TD, which WO-S had one nullified by the rules of this scrimmage.  Some people understand that, but go ahead and gloat in your "win."  The real story won't be told because they won't play in a real game.  20-4A looks to me to have a down year which opens the door for the Pirates to maybe win it.  I root for Orange County, so I would be happy to see Vidor break through, but it's harder root for your team when SOME of the Vidor fans on here are such blowhards.  You suffer from the "L-Train-itis" that became contagious on this board a few years ago.  You had a nice playoff run last year and I was happy for your team, fans, and Coach Matthews.  But, please...put together some consistency...show that you can play defense against your district foes and see if you can win the district outright.  This will earn you a lot more respect than any single game (or scrimmage) accomplishment.

 9.
How many point did WOS put on BIG NED D? Reason asking is how they struggling , or is it they struggled tonight to get a score?? Sounds like they met up to a pretty good defense, give credit where it's due.. Good luck WOS!!
No disrespect to Vidor at all.  I'm pointing out a pattern with WO-S' offense that is continuing from last year.  I know it's only a scrimmage, but I thought after the good experience with 7 on 7 that we would show more signs of progress.  Vidor played hard and deserves credit for sure. Congrats to Vidor on a good showing tonight.
 10.
scrimmage or not sounds like wos is struggling on offense!
Yep.  Too much hit and miss.  The big play has/will keep us in every game, but we're not sustaining drives in the two scrimmages.  It all centers around our QB play.  The same as last year.  It has to improve if we're gonna have any shot to make a run.
 11. Vidor is up 14-7 with 3:37 to play.

 18.
Nederland's defense is good. But, as always, you give WOS any room in open field they will take it to the house. Nederland's offense was suspect but you are not going up against St Mary's with Father Joe coaching. Rutledge has some potential but what I seen Salter is the man.
When Rutledge gets his turn, we'll see more than "some" potential, but Salter is our general this year.  He needs a lot more reps.  Sounds like too many incomplete passes.  He will be our starter and there is time to improve.

 20.
Its a scrimmage,  get a grip! LOL.
Thanks, bigdog. Both teams need the measuring stick that this SCRIMMAGE will provide. Let's all just enjoy Friday night, then look forward to next week's SCRIMMAGE, and finally get hyped for the start of the season in week zero. This is a sane path for everyone.
 21. Concerning the second stringers comments...WO-S does have second and third string teams. Having 30 or less players doesn't change that.  They have some players not in silver helmets who will be evaluated on the varsity level.  Plus, they have players who will play in positions they normally do not play in order to grade them, as well.  To the coaches for both teams, this is all about grading their teams progress and individual players.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I know for a fact that is true for Coach Thompson.  No game planning or Friday night strategy will be involved.  Therefore, any "score" will not matter at all.  A few comments on here make too big of a deal about this scrimmage.  When I think of scrimmages, I'm reminded of the 2000 season when Lumberton got the better of WO-S in the first scrimmage of the year.  It was a wake up call for the Mustangs.  If the two teams had played in the regular season, WO-S would have manhandled the Raiders.  But the scrimmage did what it is supposed to.  It motivated the players and helped the coaches evaluate the team's progress and what needed to improve.
 22.
IF WE  PLAY LAMARQUE IN THE PLAYOFFS THERES NO SHOUT OF DOUTH THAT WEST ORANGE STARK WILL BEAT THE COOGS AND MY PERDICTION IS: WEST ORANGE STARK VS LAMARQUE 3A DIVISON STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT DALLAS COWBOY STADIUM WOS 56 LAMARQUE 30
Pipe down, dude. The playoff brackets make it impossible for WO-S to play LaMarque in the finals. Please turn off the all caps and learn to spell correctly. Skipper, will you tutor him, please?
 23. 3A has a high number of strong teams. Regardless, WO-S fans should not care about the rankings at this time of year.  We have much work to do and it doesn't matter how much DC sees in our team.
