1.
If you conduct your business in person like you do on this site, I can't blame them for not wanting to talk to you. Trust me, we  have talked plenty of HS football on the clock at the plant.
ndnsrock, this is par for the course for bh89-2.  He's a nearly 40-year old who can't help acting like a 2-year old.  This guy has been banned from at least three other football web site message boards.  He's made racial remarks against WO-S and posted vulgar comments toward our fans.  The dude has a warped hate for anything in the Golden Triangle, but especially WO-S.  It's all really a strange thing, because WO-S and most of the teams in the Golden Triangle had little or no history with BH.  We barely knew about BH until this guy started popping off.  Still, he has this deep contempt for 20-4A teams and WO-S.  We spanked his team real good in two scrimmages, which made him hate us all the more.  After PNG beats them this weekend, his level of rage and jealousy will turn up a few notches for your team...especially since you have a state championship title to your credit.  His kind of behavior is what happens when you have a hard time getting noticed.  That's the way it is when you're only four feet tall.   ;D ;D ;D
 2.
Right??? Silsbee will win! Hufman has no basketball team like just like the team who won 70-0 lastnight right??
Nobody cares about basketball right now, missy.  Football is king and always will be.  Gotta run...there's a weasel in the chicken coop, an afternoon car wash at the fire station, and Shastas on sale at Brookshire Bros.  So little work and too much time.
 3. Yeah...wouldn't want them to get beat by 70 or something like that.  Then Huffman would shiver to think what Silsbee could do to them in basketball season.  :D Huffman by 14.
 4. Coldspring by 24.  CS is much too big and physical for BC.  BC will have to use much time on the clock playing ball-control to have any shot at keeping this game close.
 5. Reading badsanta's posts made me wonder...is there a minimum age limit to join this site?
 6.

As far as their ankle-bracelets are registered for........  ;D ;D  Ok, seriousely, not nearly as far as Kirbyville, coldsprings, or Huffman.
I'm hoping you aren't implying what I think you are.  No laughing faces here on this!  It's uncalled for.  There's no room for "jokes" like that any year but especially no need for it this year.  Don't you think we've been through enough?
W, in case you haven't been introduced to bh89-2, he is what he appears to be.  No joke.
 7.
Before you pop off go back and show me where i posted WO-S is going to State!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do!!!!!!!  Do i like our chances the next few years? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coop, I mean not to ridicule you, but you have been the homer of homers.  Over the last several seasons, you have either said, implied, suggested, or hinted in some way that "this is our year" or "next year is our year" or something close to that.  What I'm tired of is this perpetuation from several non-WO-S posters that "ya'll" (implying most or all of us) think that we'll win state every year.  WE DON'T.  It's so predictable.  The preseason rankings are posted, WO-S is ranked high, then some fans representing schools from our district say "y'all think you're gonna win state every year".   ::)
 8.
WOS makes it a couple rounds then wont go any farther... year after year yall say WOS is state bound... not gonna happen, not this year.
The only "y'all" who says "WO-S is state bound" is KFDM Coop.  Take him out of the picture and you're left with a group of WO-S posters on this board expressing their high hopes every season.  No other WO-S follower on this board says we'll win state except him, so please rid yourself of this misguided notion.  That crap is so old.
 9. Teac your son the proper wy to say "pecans."  He said PEE-cahns.
 10.
good post kicker you still are a call guy.it was good to see all of the gang saturday night
Skip, I just figured out who you are.  Never made the connection until now.  Glad to have you as part of the crew.
 11. 92, did they let you create this thread from your jail cell?
 12.

Great news!  Continued wishes for a speedy recovery.  For those that may not recall, Mark Foreman was one of the driving forces for the overdue All-Star Classic that was played this fall.  And I also know that any kid at WO-S that crosses his path, whether they are an athlete or not, is considered his kid. Again, get well soon, Coach Foreman!
If you were lucky enough to have crossed paths with him you are better for it. I know I am.
Ditto.  He has made a lifetime imprint on WO-S football and students.
 13.

wow, i opened up a topic that seems i should have left closed, lol. but yet after everything i read i keep getting even more curious. what school brought forward the complaint? and if the student had the passing grade and a natural disaster prevented the teacher from proving it before the deadline, why wouldn't the UIL over rule it?
I think it best that the reporting school only be known to those who remember it and as to your second question, many have been waiting almost 20 years for the answer to that question.
well said, WOSgrad.  If I might add though, I would like to say that apparently there was a TEA rule that an "I" should have been used to designate an incomplete grade.  Many WOS teachers, along with a host of other schools across the state, were completely unaware of the rule and continued to use a zero and when the student made up the work, the teacher changed it from a zero to the averaged grade that included the make-up work.  The class in question regarding the ineligible player was chemistry.  The coaching staff had nothing whatsoever to do with the grade change nor did they even know anything about it until the district executive committee showed up at the school to "investigate".  It was most distressing that the school that withheld the information was also the district chair that year, which meant they were leading the investigation and allegations of "cheating" on the part of WOS were strewn throughout the district, when it was proven and stated publicly that there was no intent to deceive or to gain an unfair advantage by the oversight. ( Alot of people were completely misinformed about the situation and were flat-out told that WOS was cheating.)  I am glad those who were involved are all gone with the wind now.  It makes for a much more pleasant community.
Wasn't the "ineligible" player on the freshman team?
 14.
Exactly what was Coach Hooks supposed to do?  Call up the 7th grade B team from West Orange-Stark Middle School?  Maybe suit up the Fillies or the Cheerleaders?  Perhaps put in Gasilla at QB, Coop as the RB and me, griff, skipper and venom33 as the receivers.  I guess put kicker, OrangeFBFan, judex and WO-S 89 on the D?
LOL! That's a heck of a lineup.  Since you're also talking back-ups, I'll be the 2nd string kicker 'cause I could make 'em from 40 yds out in high school.  If Hooks was ever absent because of another injured knee or something, then judex could replace his screaming tirades on the sidelines.  Let Gasilla calls plays for the offense.  With that scenario, I believe Coop would not carry the ball much.  He likes hanging around the bench, anyway.  WOS89 would make a good left tackle.  I see Skip as a decent cover-corner.  kicker can play some linebacker (he actually did some in his day).  OrangeFBFan will see time at tailback.  venom is the designate kicker recruiter (Somebody has to do this!!!).  We have a few more positions to fill, but that's a start.  All of us will play both ways, and if we don't like it, then our best friends will be 1) the Mustang Mile and 2) the piece of the tree.
 15. God bless the Barbay family and everyone who was touched by this man.  I hope everyone associated with him will take some time to reflect on the good memories he brought.  He had a positive impact on hundreds and hundreds of people.  "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights..." 17. When I see the outpouring of support like this, it reaffirms something I've always believed about SETX - the Golden Triangle in particular.  We are like one big community of several small towns.  Each one has its own individuality, but there is a common bond among them.  I can remember going to the state championship runs of West Brook, PNG, and WO-S in the last few decades and seeing signs like, "Nederland supports the Mustangs"..."PNG supports the Bruins"..."Bridge City supports the Indians", etc.  We tend to unite and root for each other in the end, and this tragedy has brought out the best in so many people.  It gives me a sense of pride about growing up and being a part of southeast Texas.  Thanks to everyone from the surrounding communities who have given your show of support through the helmet stickers, donations to the scholarship, well-wishes on the message boards, and the prayers.  Everyone associated with WO-S is very grateful for your kindness.  God bless every one of you.  He knows who you are.
 18.
Absolutely. It would be a disservice to our kids if Kville didn't give it their all. I know they will and that will be a great way of respecting our program and Reggie and his teammates.
I expect that when kickoff for this game finally comes, the WO-S football team will be focused on the GAME and not everything else.  I'm not saying that Reggie won't cross their minds, but the coaches will have the players locked in, fired up, and ready to hit someone.  And that's the way it should be. There is a time to grieve, but it's so necessary for the coaches and players for WO-S to get back to a normal routine, as hard as that may be (You're right about that, kicker).  This will help in their long-term emotional well-being.  Also, it's important to point out that if the players are not focused on the game, that creates a risk of injury on the field.  I expect that Kirbyville's team will be very respectful toward our players, but I also believe they should (and will) come into this to win it.  WO-S does not want to win this game on sympathy, but with a hard fought game on the field.  The posts I've read from Kirbyville posters have been classy.  We very much appreciate the kind thoughts toward our school and community.  But when the game played, let the best team win.  Both teams want it that way, and so would Reggie.  May God's peace rest on everyone who has been touched by this tragedy.
 19. Coop, thanks to you and Channel 6 for staying on this story.
 20. Much thanks to Silsbee for extending their support to WO-S in this way.
 21. Thanks, wimbo.
 22. 'Still in shock.  I could hardly sleep last night.  This is saddening.  I did not know Reggie directly, but the words I've read and heard from those who knew him give a very positive light on the young man.  From watching him play, I know he was a very good QB.  My prayers are devoted to the Garrett family and all of the WO-S family.  To everyone reading this...please...find those people who are most dear to you and tell them you love them, and call upon the Lord today.  Tomorrow is never promised.  "Seek the Lord while He may be found.  Call on him while He is near."
bh89-2.......a wasteland of message board drivel.
