  1. Kashmere is terrible. LCM wins big.
  2. Yes, what is the web site address, Coop?
  3. Good morning, BigDog. This is sounding like the good ole smack talk from years past. You haven't lost your form. The crybaby tone is still there. :'( We've been duking it out with a couple of bozos from BH the last three years, but you haven't been forgotten. The bottom line is we'd rather be on the side of 23 wins than 6 anytime. The blowout wins are in our favor, as well. Once again, congratulations to LCM on a hard fought game. I wish you well in district.
  4. Gas, you clarified what I was trying to say. My emphasis was about late game decisions when the game is close. It was at THAT time we should have stuck with the running game, but the OC is so infatuated with the spread that even in rain soaked conditions, turnover problems, and the fact the spread did not work throughout the game, he STILL reverted back to it. He is in love with the spread to a fault. We ran the spread against Giddings on the one yard line for four straight plays. Also, remember against Bay City in 2005, we drove downfield on our openning drive with the running game, then we get inside the 10 yard line and switch to the spread (both times we scored ZERO points)? There are moments to ditch it, and last night was ANOTHER one of them.
  5. Oh, no...not again. WHAT is the coach thinking?????? Or is he... He is so in love with the spread. THIS year, we have the offensive line and backfield more suited for a running game than a passing attack. This is Jerry Glanville style of play. (Glanville was known for trying the "unexpected" when he coached...example - on 3rd and 30, he'll run a dive). It is beyond me how he continues force feeding the spread rather than going with the strength of the personnel. It's insane. Late in the game offensive playcalling when the score is close continues to be our Achilles heel. Stick with what works, coach! Please!
  6. Congratulations to LCM on a hard fought game. Even though I'm a WO-S supporter, I'm impressed with the effort LCM gave. I liked Coach Moody's call to onside kick to start the second half. They tried that last year, too. Also, last year they used a different defense package that the WO-S coaches/scouts didn't see the week before. Those are the moves of a coach who's not just trying to compete, but taking the risks for an opportunity WIN. That showed guts. I gotta give Moody credit for taking his best shot at us. Hopefully, our next game will be played on a dry field.
  7. Well, well...the old Jody we know and love has finally come out to play. Don't worry, bud, all this "piss over griff" stuff isn't lost in translation. What you're really saying is "WE LOST TO WO-S AGAIN!!!! AAARRRRGGHHH!!!! I hear you loud and clear, Jody. At least this post isn't graphic enough to get you banned from another web site. ;D ;D ;D
  8. I hear ya, 96. That's understandable, but as far as I'm concerned, I've never been one to talk much about the past successes, state titles, etc. You can check me on that. The pissing contest offered up here could have been something to see. Our Golden Triangle brethren would pee in the Sabine and your kin folk in Liberty Country and Mont Belvieu could raise the Trinity. Whoever busts the dam first is the winner. ;D
  9. Ah...some good sportsmanship for a change. That's refreshing, bud. Let's see if you can keep it up (when it comes to the WO-S fans) for a whole season. You know full well that this is not a BH bash. It's a response to YOU and your sidekick. I have no qualms with BH. As for the moderators...except for Coop, who I've met only once, I don't know them from Adam. I guess you have too many "friends" here. ;D
  10. If Jasper continues their turnover woes, BH wins by 7. Otherwise, I see this as a "pick 'em" game.
  11. Good job, Eagles. I read a few places where Wharton was the favorite. Nice win.
  12. Listen, as I've said before (and I'm only speaking on my own behalf), my ONLY problem has been with the poor sportsmanship from TWO individuals from BH. This has nothing to do with how good or bad BH is or seeking praise for WO-S. Also, no one has to eat crow unless they've made brash predicitions about beating someone and then lose. Again, my comments are not about BH - just two posters from there. They've enjoyed crow for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert for a few years now, but they keep coming back for more.
  13. shellman, a little perspective is in order. First of all, I've never been one to throw around our stats. You're confusing me with other posters. Second, I was trying to congratulate Dayton's team and their fans who post on this board. For the most part, they've acted with class and respect for others. The same cannot be said about BHFAN and bh89-2. Backing them up makes you look bad. You've been around this board long enough to know that those two people have gone out of their way to insult WO-S fans here. They're almost always the ones to throw the first granade. They have a history of this. All I've ever done is respond by putting their crap back where it belongs...in their lap. BHFAN talked a big about Dayton winning by a lot of points...blah, blah, blah. Also, when WO-S handed it to BH in the scrimmage, all BHFAN could muster was silliness like "we dominated the line of scrimmage" and BH "held their own". No congratulations...no gesture of good sportsmanship...nothing. Just continual sour grapes. Even Coach Price was quoted as saying WO-S was better. You would be better served by speaking to your buddy about his sore loser mentality and crapstarting than trying to lecture me. He asked for it, and had it coming to him. Call it "ribbing in good fun". I have no "hate" for BH. Never did. I just don't like the conduct of the two people I've mentioned. That's all there is to it. By the way, I always enjoy the chance to meet posters on this board from other teams. Maybe we'll catch up with you sometime.
  14. Dayton fans, you've shown class and good sportsmanship on this message board, before the game and after. Your team is strong and will likely win the district again this year. I was worried going into this game, and it would not have shocked me if the Broncos had won. The teams were evenly matched. I have much respect for your team. I hope the WO-S vs. Dayton matchup will continue. Now, if you would pardon me for a moment, I have some smack for a couple of your neighbors in Mont Belvieu who have some crow to eat. BHFAN...once again, YOU'RE WRONG. You can't make predictions based on spite for WO-S. So much for Dayton winning by 14...by 21...by 40. How do you work so hard at making a fool of yourself? For one more long year, you'll have to live with the fact that WO-S beat BH and your Trinity River neighbors. It wouldn't be so hard if you didn't have such hate for WO-S and a sore loser attitude. bh89-2...so much for the "overall average team" beating ANOTHER team west of the Trinity River. At least you didn't talk as much crap as BHFAN did, but I know you cringe over this just as much. To both of you, I have this to say... EAST SIDE wins again!!!! Real football is played near the SABINE River.
  15. 96, you must have been absent for the last two weeks. The comments made about BH fans were not directed at everyone, but at BHFAN and bh89-2 in particular. They have a derrangement syndrome when it comes to WO-S. They are more interested in seeing WO-S lose than rooting for their own team.
  16. WO-S rose to the occasion and played intense, mistake free football in the second half. Dayton dominated the first half, and WO-S returned the favor in the second half.
  17. Dayton throws an incomplete pass. WO-S takes over.
  18. 1:16 left. Time out Dayton.
  19. Dayton has a 4th down and 7 at the WO-S 32.
  20. 22-14 WO-S. Two minutes left. Dayton has the ball at the 50.
  21. 5 minutes left in the game...WO-S at the one yard line. Hypolite scores on a QB sneak. If only we would have done this last year against Giddings...
  22. AAW, are you at the game?
  23. 'Shocked to see no one has offered Barbers Hill. As far as community support goes, they have the TWO noisiest fans from any school in the state (or at least west of the Trinity). That has to count for something. ;D ;D ;D
