  1. LOL  , we don't wish for BH to lose the way you wish for WO-S to lose, Jody. WO-S fans are mostly disinterested in BH anyway. BH beats Smiley by at least 17. Keep it going, Eagles. Looking good.
  2. This was a joke. It was posted some time back by someone that this year's Lumberton team was going to be really good and part of the reasoning was that they were undefeated as eighth graders, hence the remark...
  3. LCM and Barbers Hill.
  4. Now everybody is... Better Off Jumping On ...the bandwagon.
  5. I want to know about the Lumberton 8th graders. Is this the next great Lumberton varsity team?
  6. In our state championship years of '86 and '87, we ran the veer. Coach Hooks is quite familiar with it.
  7. kicker, thanks for getting the shirt. Are you bringing a camera, too? I vote for meeting after the game. Anyone else?
  8. BC had an awesome kicker last year. Is he still with the team?
  9. See...BHFAN, we don't mind you posting on threads with WO-S in the topic. Show some hospitality on BH threads. Thanks for the compliments. You guys have a lot to be proud of at BH. Nice win last night.
  10. Silsbee must have had their mind on next week's game.
  11. Way to go, BH. Not bad beating a team just north of the San Jacinto River.
  12. Thanks, lonestar. This is the only WO-S game I can't attend, so keep sending the updates.
  13. Make that 7-6 OF with the lead.
  14. Seems to me the mood here should be a lot more positive. Your first year in 4A and you're undefeated. BH is on track for a playoff spot. You guys should be high-fivin' all over the place. Great job, BH.
  15. This is an open public forum. Anyone can join in on any topic at any time' date=' so chill out. You've done the same think to posts that involve WO-S in the past, so get over it...and you can thank your buddy Eagletown for his comments to invite our participation. Sticky, I’m still laughing over your post.
  16. I second that motion to make this "Post of the Year". This is hysterical! Nice job, sticky. Numbers 5, 8, 9, 11, and 13 are just too good. I'd like to add some honorable mention points to the list: 14) BH fans are the ones most grateful that scrimmages don’t count in the record books. 15) When seeking intelligent predictions on games in SE TX, never use BH89 or BHFAN as a resource. 16) BH fans are the only ones who think living “west of the Trinity River†has some significant meaning. 17) BH fans were the first to submit petitions to the governing body of the Olympic Games to add fishing as a sanctioned sport. 18 ) BH cannot be categorized among “Golden Triangle†area schools, “Beaumont area†schools, or “Greater Houston†area schools. They’re simply thought of as “somewhere between Baytown and Daytonâ€, wherever that is. 19) The term “jaundice†has roots in the history of Mont Belvieu. An extended definition of the word means “a BH fan who despises WO-S for their success in football; an illogical resentment toward an unlearned sports phenomenon in Orange, TX; a frenzied perception of good people loyal to their alma mater.†20) If you’re prone to uncontrollable reactions that include foul language and hateful speech, change your username to save posting privileges.
  17. Russell Turkel. Oh, wait...are we talking about 2006?
  18. Fair enough, wouldn't you say, kicker? If Silsbee won, it would not be an upset of huge proportions. Silsbee will not be taken lightly by WO-S. This will be a more competitive game than WO-S vs. Kirbyville.
  19. I don't think OF has to make the playoffs to gain respect, though I think they have a legit shot of grabbing one of the three spots. The way they've played so far this year has already opened the eyes of many. I think OF will beat BC and will play a close game against Kirbyville. The winner of that game is a toss up in my mind. I mean no disrespect to BC, but I think they will be the 4th or 5th place team this year. Last year's BC team was better than this year's, and the district is now tougher with the addition of Silsbee and Kirbyville.
  20. I thought anything involving a scrimmage wasn't important to BH fans. Good luck vs. Crosby. So far, so good in 4A. Gotta like it.
  21. I wouldn't mind playing LaMarque. I don't understand the interest in playing Nederland. West Brook may be pushing it a bit. They're a 5A school, and you begin to see the difference in competition when you play teams in 5A - more size, more skill position players...more players in general. As for Katy and Lufkin, that's crazy. No matter how good WO-S is in 3A and against 4A competition, we've got no business playing teams of that caliber, unless it's 7 on 7.
