Finally the joy of basketball season has emerged into my life again District champs Spurger face off against Onalaska for their season opening Any prediction? I know nothing about Onalaska so I predict Spurger starts off 1-0

5 pages longest thread i ever started 8) No question whose better out of the two school Sabine but only for this year Big Sand has tradition they produces great teams Sabine Pass every blue moon has a team that can make some noise 3 Years ago Sp jv made alot of noise only losing two games to Big Sandy(I guess Sp kids put in more work over the years) But Sp jv from last year was nothing like the ones from those year. Coach Harvey will have alot of shoes to fill next year.

#23 was his number and for him to start he will have to play the wing If thats true about Whittacre than Spurger has the power to beat any team in small school ball.Do they have any standout player moving up from Jv? I know the sharks have one kid that was putting up great numbers on the jv level. He had a great 3 ball. idk his number nor name And not alot to say about evadales jv beside they was whooping butt and taking names

Nah not Cruthirds He is a good player but his handle are not on the level for pg. If you watched last year #3 or #25 was running things If Cruthirds start #25 will have to play pg

not counting yall out giving yall more respect then last year I just can't see them beat Spurger or Sabine. but i also don't think yall will be a push over. On paper it looks like evadale has the better team because of there height. But Sabine and Spurger have more skill and wont stop coming at you intill the game is over.

Even from last year the district has got weaker except for 3 teams Spurger returning 3 Sabine Pass returning 4 Evadale returning 3 but just wont be at Sabine or Spurger level of ball Spurger&Sabine will play 3 games against each other in district for 1st (jmo Sabine will have it this year but it really could go any way) Maybe 4times through the season because i believe both could make it to regional with a little luck. Whats your take on the season and beyond? And If known what school stands in the way of Spurger&Sabine

I agree that Nederland will be the team to beat. This year will be there year.Not so sure about next. Yes there best players will only be a Junoir but there best guards will be seniors.

I know a few players from Memorial should be on this list. I like to believe they have the best team in this area right? Shaquille White should be one for sure. He can shoot lights out but is a pass first type of guard. A true point guard

I saw Sabine Pass play in Nederlands summer league.They beat Nederland by 10(NED only had two of there 5 starts) Beat Kelly but lost to Pn-g by 4 The whole team is looking good. Don't matter who comes in 1st place Spurger and Sabine Pass both will meet in the playoffs...Hopfully

Like a few other areas District 25a is wrapped up now. 1st Spurger(bye) 2nd Sabine Pass(Bremond) 3rd Hull Diasettia(Mumford) District 26a 1st Normangee(bye) 2nd Mumford(Hull Diasettia) 3rd Bremond(Sabine Pass) Beside Spurger since they have the bye What are the chances of Sabine Pass and Hull Daisettia getting pass the first round? Do anybody know anything about Mumford and Bremond? If so please tell Let make some noise Spurger,Sabine and Hull. It will be a hard task but it would be great to see 2 teams make it to regional

I see what you are trying to say But #30 is no where close to being alone on his team. As said before #25 and #21 are both about 4 point away from avg 20 a game. Only team i see in the District with players like that are Sabine&Spurger. True #30 is the best player on his team but if you focus on him to much #21 will shoot your light out .#25 drives very well,give him some space and he'll light you up too.#3 gets the job done and keep his boys going. The Sabine Pass Sharks are nothing like The West Hardin Copelands

I like Spurger they are a well round team.Nice kids,nice coach,nice fans BUT i need them to lose one ;D Sorry Spurger but i have to cheer for Hd on this one. Beside a tie Breaker game at a neutral location sound exciting right?

Sabine Have All The Tool They Need But Just Can't Make Them Work #30 does his job.#25 and #21 could & should put up 20 a game.They have a Guard #3 that is WAY BETTER than he plays he just need to believe in hisself(still pretty good though).A Center #24 that's under size but he works...WHEN HE FEEL LIKE IT We all know who West Hardin Have...COPELAND AT HOME SHARKS SHOULD WIN BY 30 But they will make it a close one.... Only 4 teams are undefeated.But West Hardin will get the short handle since they lost to high island With Spurger and Sabine I think both teams can make alittle noise in Playoffs

Im almost 100% sure these are the teams that makes it to playoff. Sp or SPR takes first Sabine Pass-Best guard combo the district have(#30#25#21) Spurger-Best guard and post combo the district have. Hull-Daisetti-Very quick, losing Tre hurt them. Even without him still able to handle there own. Evadale-wasnt able to protect their house against Spurger. Can't afford another lose West Hardin-in a slump because 1 home game was played Second half of district is what makes or breaks them High Island- failed at Protecting there house

Tuesday should be an great day for 25a The battle leaves land an heads out to sea as the Sharks takes on the Pirates. (Jmo the 2 best teams in district) Sharks-Jones,Wasson,Carlos Faces Pirates Magallion,Blankenship,Whittaker With Spurger having homecourt just might give them the edge they need to slay the Shark.But the Sharks have heart and will fight every second of the game. Without Whittaker and Magallion i can't see the Sharks losing but if they do play the favor is in Spurger hands

Now that the Sharks have redeem themselves I can talk with yall about it since I'm the biggest fan.... I was at the game.Not say in Evadale is an bad team but this game should have not been close.Sabine played flatout sorry the 1st half(4-11 was the freethrows).After coach Harvey started yelling and untighten his tie i knew the Sharks was bout to change something. I don't think the Sharks liked that one post a bout #30 being on the team by hisself.Don't think #30 liked it so he dropped 5-6 assist #30 20 points #25 20 points #21 15 points #23 (6th man) He did so many things that didn't show on the statbook Evadale is pretty big. Rebels vs the Pirates should be an good game

Wasn't saying the kid avg that much...it was an hyperbole But come on now the sharks win and the best thing that can be said is its not a good sign for the Sharks(since when did winning become a bad sign)...I'm not taking anything away from Spurger but when it comes to experience it easy to see Spurger has it over Sabine...
