  1. Snoooope its a tarp for the field somebody stold the directons. Oh yea did u get the green sauce out of ur shirt
  2. Something that has not been talked about BH starting 9 are all seniors. I have ever heard of that
  3. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! Need to get it made up got to be ready opening day
  4. BH 14 - BAY CITY 9 A lot of offense in this one BH had 5 long balls peterson 1 Lyday 1 and Henscey had 3 big night for the left fielder. The pitching looked good Peterson, Burdett, Rocha all had good nights the under classman struggled but it was the first game. The middle infield turrned 3 doubleplays overall at solid first outing
  5. Whoa...slow down there Bama....4 in the high eighty's...don't think so. Burditt will "touch"/"top out at" 87, Rocha may "touch' 86, Peterson and Mitchell ..83-86. Big difference btw. throwing in the high eighty's and touching 87 a time or two per game. I'm not knocking BH pitching...I think they will do just fine this year. Having 4 guys on a 4A squad throwing low to mid eighty's ain't bad. I agree the pitching is good all can hit mid 80s and with solid defense and offense this team should be fine
  6. Don't forget, you'll always got the "Rocket" if you get in a bind! RIP09 hopefully we do not get in that kind of a bind. Does anybody know how shooter1709 IS a fly ball hit him in the head today. But dont worry the ball was ok HA HA HA you so funny mustang : and it was the wrist :'( glad your ok we do not need any injuries
  7. Looks like BH is playing BC who sent them to the house early last year in the playoffs should be good
  8. Peterson could easily be the leader on the hill if he wants to be he has the talent Burdett nobody works harder if he can stay focused he is there also Rocha throws the ball hard when he keeps it down he can be tough Mitchell looked good throwing for the Varsity at baseball USA would make a good relief man Baker and McDonald could also fill in Carmona has not thrown much in the last few years and is better suited to stay at ss

  10. No they did not have a gun on him, though when they rated the arms from outfield he received a 4 when other varsity players only got a 3. Actually he and Leggett both got a 3.5 but your still just talking about someone's opinion. If your not putting a gun on them then you don't really know. It's just a guess. My rating and a rating from someone else is probably going to be totally different, just like my opinion of 80's is probably a little different from yours. If I'm putting someone's pitching velocity on this or any other forum it's because I know that someone checked it with a radar gun. Keep in mind also that if your going to pitch at the Varsity level you better have more to offer than just an 80 mph fastball. Fastball's at the varsity level are just batting practice unless you have another pitch or 2 to keep them off balance. Like I stated before, none of these kids are ready for Varsity baseball. It would be a shame to put them at this level and set them up for failure. They will have more than enough competition at the JV level. I know all the Jr's and seniors if any sophmores or freshman are up it will be to possibly help with some pitching in tournaments and to carry the water jug and equipment
  11. There will not just be one player everone will have to step up and do there part on offense and defense. The pitching is there not what we have had the last 2 years. But there is a lot of talent
  12. That is a very solid defensive lineup. Pitchers stay healthy and get some hitting ( which I think BH has this year ) and this team could make a good run. Best of luck ! Eagle07 (LUKE this is your father) No retiring for you. Now lets let the BIG DOGS eat. Time to get it on. Solid line up now we need a leader. You know who you are pull them all together and take charge. If you lead they will follow
  13. Well from BH, Henscey, Burditt, Ponder, Rocha, Carmona. They have been there a while and don't get enough credit. They are some of the better hitter around, and two of those pitch. I look for them to all hit at least 5 home runs each. Ponder could very easily hit 10, Burditt 8, Henscey 6-9. They are going to be very good. Here are some hr predictions WartHog Burditt 5-7 Carmona4-6 Clifton 4-6 Henscey 5-7 Ponder 6-8 Rocha 5-7 4 of the 6 shown will also have a BA# 400+ and we know who they are jb ,cc, ch, jp they were there last year. Get ready for a lot of fireworks
  14. Well if I am not mistaken Ponder was all district as a sophmore at 3rd so I think that he can play anywhere but that is just me. I know that he knows what to do better than anyone out there he has been there since he was a freshman. Lets GET READY TO RRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMBBBLE I was at every game the last two years...Ponder is more than adequate at 3rd. He's just another option. You've got Baker, Ponder, Lyday, and another kid someone mentioned earlier that was not on the varisty in '07 and/or '08 that all could see some time at 3rd.
  15. Its real simple anybody can dream about being on varsity. But the reality is why would you want to be on there just to say your on the varsity. That's a waste of your year you get no better by setting on the bench. Stay down where you can get your playing time in. We have had a few players up the last few years that were pulled up and they just sit. It did them no good. My opinion is there will not be freshman or sophomores on the 09 Eagles
  16. Wharthog you must be good friends with the kid but be serious there will not be a freshman on the varsity and I will be surprised if there are any sophomores. You are the last 4yr. If there are any freshman it will be strictly political.
  17. I know them all good group of kids that want to make a statement. If they unite and come together 3 deep at least in the playoffs. Dont be surprised if you see a all 09 class on the field most of the year. Very unusual but it very well could happen. Look for this group to score a lot of runs
  18. It was the implication that BH can't go nowhere with out the "Big Four". But we are definitely going to miss the 'Big Four' and their sticks I do agree this year BH will be a better hitting team overall. Hales and Thamm can not be replaced on the hill or in the line up. If we stay out of grade trouble and injury free. This squad could easly go at least 3 deep in the playoffs. Go Eagles Yes, many forget that they could hit also. Hales and Thamm @ .400. Silva hit 6-7 HR's. Hales (1B) and Thamm(OF) were also Honorable-Mention all-state on the Texas sports writers list. Believe me I didn't forget the individual seasons that Hales and Thamm had. They were definitely 2 of the better hitters on the team and in the state during the season but I was just touching on one of the reasons the team didn't advance. These kids didn't hit as well during the Bay City series and no one was there to pick up the slack. The team hit 70 points below their season average during the Bay City series. This is a big reason for the loss against Bay City. All good hitters are going to have a bad game now and then and if the rest of the team can't pick them up your in trouble. I believe this year's team will be a better hitting team from top to bottom than last years. Not to say that anyone will put up any better individual numbers than Hales and Thamm, but I think there will be more good hitters to pick up the slack. I can't wait to see how it plays out!
  19. I heard Mitchel pitched well, Who else might step up. Ballard is trying out for third has anyone heard how he's doing. Are their anymore of the sophomores that might be pulled up. Mitchell has looked good on the hill. Not much room for any other playing time if everybody stays healthy. Ballard he will most likely be on JV he has been injured the last 2 years. There will be very few juniors on the Varisity baring injury you will not see any sophomores
  20. Looks like a lot of good athletes it should be based on what the players did last year. It would be nice if we had stats on all so the most deserving would be on the team.
