We'll never know...but before it was kids why would kids move to low performing academic schools....now its "well he's moving to a better school but not that much better" Bottom line is based on the rules we have today...transfer is legit....it is what it is

There was actually a DEC on the LaPorte kid, but the DEC approved him....thats the process No DEC on the South Houston kid....they didnt check any boxes so there was no hearing

I've been seeing them in stores for almost a month in DFW....saw some in Houston when I was down there for coaching school

I think if you had true football capitalism it would not go the way you think it would go lol The process is imperfect because its based on human judgement which is imperfect and thats not taking into account the process where humans willfully aren't honest on the forms....BUT based on the rules today that opens the door for circumvention of the rules in place. If I were in charge I'd try to get rid of judgment as much as possible and make it black and white...no more transferring for athletic purposes questions on the form..its residency and residency alone...BUT I'd have more robust compliance arm of the UIL to check into residency questions and not leave that to the schools... The only question is..where do I come up with the money to pay the salaries of this compliance arm

I guess the question would be if all the coaches are suspended wouldn't that hurt the kids and potentially other programs?

I dont think there's ever been a ground swell at the 4A level to have it and certainly not below that
