subscribers are starting to get magazines in the mail today

LaPorte/Angleton is probably going to be a total toss-up on paper.... Angleton did lose a lot on defense, but I expect them to be much better on offense, especially getting Jammer back healthy after the season ending injury......the other thing about Angleton is they know how to defend LaPorte's offense better than most...so they have in inherent advantage.. LaPorte's got to develop some weapons aside from Simon....what made them great last year was they had 3 guys who could hurt you...moving Sandolph to wingback really made that offense dynamic....is there a guy like that they can plug in? Saenz has the experience at QB, but the young kid is uber-talented....how the staff handles that QB situation especially if the youngster impresses will be vital for LaPorte... Right now I have LaPorte in the state championship game...they've got that kind of potential...but Angleton is right there with em.....should be fun

I expect Ft Bend Crawford to be among the state's most improved teams....hard not to be when you bring every single player back from last year...could see a season similar to Iowa Colony's last one in 4A where they end up going 3 rounds deep...they'll be off to 5A next year

Region III is gonna be a bloodbath....ton of really good teams

They sure had a bunch of good looking jokers at State 7on7

And they got to the state semifinals last year and barely lost to Woodville... Tidehaven returns 9 on offense and 8 on defense they only lost ten seniors and return 28 lettermen which is a huge # for a 3A-D2 They bring back: 4-year starter at QB 4-year starter at WR/LB All-state DB and a starter at WR All-state LB A trio of three-year starters on the OL A three-year starter at DT They do have to settle on a RB and replace two DE's but 17 starters back from a state semifinalist is going to put them at the top of just about anyone's ranking list

JMO but whoever wins R3 will be an underdog to Tidehaven in the semis (if they win R4 which is no guarantee)....Tidehaven returns the house

It is...we go to press typically the Friday before Memorial Day, subscribers have gotten magazines in late June the past few years...I dont anticipate subscribers getting magazines this year until after July 4 and I dont anticipate them being in stores until late July or early August.....we've also limited distribution to stores so they aren't as easy to find as they once were

Probably a little later this year....we went to press two weeks later than usual due to the college transfer portal spring window and having to shuffle the college section around late

Or they were at camps etc...Silsbee signed up for this one late so the kids may have had other things planned....good chance for younger guys to get reps and they didnt perform poorly at all
