As UIL realignment approaches I went into the DCTF archives and started compiling old UIL realignments....its a fascinating look back into TXHSFB History 1960-1961 [Hidden Content]

How is the Silsbee fan base?? For some reason I'm thinking they travel pretty well?

La Porte has some kids in the pipeline from what I've heard if they stay 5A they got a chance to be real good in 2-3 yeas

High Island is 71 I have Crosby but I I can't remember it but itll be on our next update

1) opt ups artificially inflate the D1/D2 cut line....last alignment it was about 100 students higher than it should be 2) theres fewer schools In that 1800-1200 range

Everything you read on the internet isn't true...UIL realignment policy states 250 schools in 6A PLUS opt ups...

this thread was a fun look back

Coach Riordan had been looking basically since the season ended..he was actually a runner-up for two other jobs this off-season...there was no doubt in anyone's mind he was leaving Crosby it was just a matter of when...I started to hear about Riordan to CH on January 29...was just a matter of crossing t's and dotting i's once it got rolling

Covered my first game at Legacy Stadium this year...its gorgeous....a really nice HS venue....definitely recommend taking the 99 toll toad over...worth the money and will save a ton of time avoiding the traffic on I-10

I will be surprised if this game isn't moved to Saturday

Using MaxPreps ranking is not a good indicator, but there are several 6A teams Newton could beat in a one game scenario

Kudos to Coach Faircloth for stepping up and protecting his kids....no adult should be trashing a player from the stands...we forget sometimes but these are kids.... I am disappointed PNG administration didn't step up and ask this "fan" to either shut it down or remove him from the stadium....or at minimum some of his peers in the stands didn't confront him about it...sometimes peer pressure works great....

Cell phones are only considered recording equipment when they are used for that purpose in the context of this NCAA rule....so you can have a cell phone/Ipad on you and use it for non-recording purposes...this is per the UIL
