  1. Not that it would matter a ton but Silsbee's 4/11 on FTs doesnt help the scoreline
  2. Sadly this is what happens when the state govt pushed charter schools in the first place and forced them to be part of the UIL if they desired
  3. FF's length is obviously an issue but their guards are big and strong they are aggresively bodying the freshman PG and making him very uncomfortable
  4. A few things from Lake Worth 1) their top returning player who was the district MVP transferred out during the summer (was ruled ineligible and didnt play his senior year) 2) Prieto was hired the Friday before Memorial Day, tough to really implement things getting hired that late
  5. When a DM of a North Shore coach to a kid is posted the UIL has to look into it...doesn't matter the school
  6. I'll be shocked if anything more than a reprimand and probation is given to North Shore as a program...the Coach in question resigned before being let go...my guess is he'll get a suspension from coaching in the UIL
  7. heard that and maybe a guy from out west
  8. I know of at least one finalist...its been pretty quiet so far
  9. Heard the finalists are coming in next week for the final interview
  10. Sounds like calls for interviews have gone out and the interviews are starting this week
  11. We'll go live from the Birdville FAAC at 8:45am youtube.com/@DaveCampbellsTF
  12. 1) yes there are areas statewide where the coaches meet 2) no, media and coaches/admins only
  13. We will have a broadcast on DCTF on Thur AM
  14. Ahh ok I wasn't sure because the last part of purpleeagle's post was more regarding the UIL etc
  15. The problem w/UIL rules now and why things are a lot more murky IMO is when the state of TX basically opened the door for open enrollment...when they granted charter schools and forced the UIL to take them it basically gave the green light to ISDs to start admitting kids who didnt live in their attendance zones... UIL cant mandate a kid who doesnt live in an open enrollment ISD be ineligible for 4 years...they'd lose that court case quick, fast and in a hurry...hence the 365 rule "establishing residency"
  16. The administrative/rule making arm of the UIL is the legislative council....which is made up of the schools themselves...if the schools want the transfer rules changed then they have the ability to do so themselves.... I know some people want to go back to an automatice one-year sit out if a kid transfers...problem there is that already got overturned in the courts...UIL used to have that rule in place...its one of the few court cases the UIL's ever lost
  17. The young man in question isn't eligible at the moment...if the PAPF comes back clean, then by UIL rules he'll be eligible...if the PAPF isn't clean then we'll see a DEC hearing at minimum
