Hey Baseball101...... I never got a response on my "what if it were your kid getting wronged" so I wouldn't expect any now. Either people will agree and say they would say something if it involved their kid or you'll just hear crickets.... I am a old school Cardinal and I am right there with you on taking up for ALL of those boys, if we don't then who will?

I'll take an all district catchers word over somebody that didn't even go to the game any day. Sky has never been one to say that a bad pitch was a good one, he's always been the one to say the pitch was up down or out. It's funny to me that this thread died down but there are some that insist on bringing it back up again.

what pic are you looking at? the so called pic that "mattered" you can't tell where the catcher is set up at. Even the Montgomery people and Robinson coaches said that the "second to last" pitch was right down the plate. lets get the video from the CS side of the controversial pitch.

You are right, it's hard to win when giving up 10 runs but as you have to know 1 pitch can make or break a game, especially when it's the last.

can you tell where he was set up in the pics? Because they look like different places to me. You are right he got the hit when it mattered, but should the game have already been over? Nobody will ever know why the ump called it like he did.

So, here's a question.... "IF" the ump started the game with horrible calls and the BC fans nor players argued or said anything to him would he correct his calls or keep calling what he wants? It's a doubled edged sword, but in my eyes you take up for your kids when someone is taking something from them if not who will? IMO both Saturday umps had a agenda and they did everything they set out to do. Once again, if you weren't at the game you didn't get to witness how bad it was from the first pitch.

that's the thing with both games Saturday... Both games had CS's chapter Umps on the dish and they were bias from the start. But, anyways it's the past time for us to move on. BC has a very young team that will only get better in the coming years.

now the calls that were missed... were they missed when Silsbee was pitching or BC? And let's not keep beating the dead horse, the video proves he missed the call and that decided the outcome of the game.

Why bring up basketball in a statement about baseball? I don't follow high school basketball so I'll stay on the thread topic.

Bottom line is if we didn't have teams like WOS, Silsbee, OF, LCM, and HF in our tough district making us better we'd subcome to an early exit in the playoffs... this proves once again that 22-4a is the toughest district in Texas IMO. Good luck to the Cards and Mustangs in the next round. Let's bring home some state hardware back to southeast Texas guys.
