1.
Trae pitched for Vidor  and Darnell and Sparrow for West Orange.
WOW...So WOS saw Vidors Beast early on???? What was the outcome of that? Stat wise and score?
 2.
Vidor is up 1-0 on them this season so far.
Does anybody know who pitched the first game they played?
 3. I really like seeing some of the little schools taking on the better of the bigger school before district starts.  This will be a true test for them stangs.
 4.

Is this a Retorical question? (Answer: Jacob Felts Hands down....)
they said besides felts
Sorry jumped the gun on that one.... Then Parker gets my vote real stud behind and at the plate.  He's the first name you hear when peopple talk about Jasper.  Atleast I've heard it since he was a freshman.
 5.
Let's get those players some recognition for some outstanding play last week. Trae Hester of Vidor who shut down a potent Jasper team comes to mind. Keep them going.
Hard to argue with that performance!!!!
 6.

That was an amazing display of cleverness by Joe Robertson and Matt Hicks--they pulled an ole trick I had not seen since the late fifties! The triple play was nifty too; Joe Robertson is fast and when he saw what all was happening he took off from third to home and beat the runner there to take in a scorcher from Catcher Matt Menard who beat the semi-lame Ned. runner and tagged the runner going to first.  He then had the present-of-mind to wheel and hit Robertson who was a step or two ahead of the runner--whereby the tag was made just ahead of home plate. Wow three outs that contributed largely to the winning of the game This was the first triple play I have ever seen in a HS hardball game!  Congrats to all involved.  Also congrats to Freshman Pitcher Hayden Guidry who went about half the game giving up only one hit to the stout Bulldogs... Sorry, it was Hicks.....
On the contrary, this was the stupidest coaching move I have ever seen from the Nederland coach.  To put a player in a game in that situation who has not even played and was not released by his doctor is moronic and also undermines the whole team concept...
BUT........if it worked it would've been a great call.  So, everybody's not going to be pleased with it.
 7.
jasper sure has played vidor alot this year ;D
When you play good teams early in the year it makes you better ;)
 8. Is this a Retorical question? (Answer: Jacob Felts Hands down....)
 9.
Kirby hit in some of the scrimmages and hit very well including a double off of the wall.  I guess the coach was hoping for a Kirk Gibson type at bat to end the game. If he hits anywhere but to Matt Hicks it probably works.
Your probably right 9 times out of 10 it probably works..... But then again if you hit it to Matt Hicks, 9 times out of 10 he makes the play.  Wish I could've been there for it.
 10. And this is most of the time what we never hear about.  Great job young man and good luck this year.
 11.
Top teams as of now in no order....... Jasper, Vidor, OF, Ned, WB, BC, PNG
That's a pretty powerful list right there.........
 12.
[Hidden Content]
He's no doubt the best catcher in the area.  He's also a beast at the plate.
 13.
To say OF is only two players is a complete joke. If you have not seen them the past two years and only hear of jace and jacob then u are missing out. The cats are stacked 1 through 9, play great defense and have 4 quality pitchers. Wins over kelly and pam prove OF is the real deal.
IMO.....Not to get people po'd ....It's going to take wins over better teams to be the real deal.  Once district starts and you start winning then you can be labled as real deal.  Nobody's going to give you that title until you do.
 14. Who all pitched this one?
 15.
Silsbee 11. Dp 3.   Final.
Good job Tigers....congrats on the win....Who pitched?
 16.

I vote we put a strength of schedule beside the schools.
Yeah like that would ever work....The Bulldogs and the cards "R" ALWAYS IN THAT BOAT....But we seem to like the outcome of district play...
Your absolutely right....But if we can put a list of who they lost too it would give a strength of schedule?????
 17. or maybe who they lost too.???
 18. So we're looking at a OF vs. Kelly game right? this will be the toughest game OF has played all year... Good luck Bobcats
 19. I've always wondered that myself... they always play the area teams good and win a lot...Who knows though maybe this can be answered?
 20.
Tidbits  Coach Hatton sighting at the Nederland tournament….Joe Robertson BC having a nice start at the plate….Mitch Hubbard BC pitched a gem against HJ… Freshman Duplant from HJ has the make up to be a good ball player….Justin Harmon WB took a fastball deep off Matt Hicks…….Reggie Wilson WB match Hicks pitch for pitch in 8 inning thriller….CE King’s catcher is real deal, someone get his name….Nederland can swing the bat 1-9…Trevon Sonnier and Tyler Smith are hitting ropes…Cody Laird is swinging a hot bat as usual, a doubles machine…Cardenas might be the best hitter in the area, wait Kirby Bellow will be back Monday….Trae Hester struck out 15 of the hottest team in the area Jasper, plus a shutout….How about the LCM, make mince meat of a ranked team in Santa Fe and come back without coaches for awhile and spank Montgomery….Josh Veillon throws 5 great innings, all-around athlete Hunter Gonzales with doubles and rbi’s, throw in Mason Dallas and Ryan Waddell  and the Bears trip up north is already successful…Over at Orangefield the machine keeps rolling as Evans and Statum give up nothing on the mound and Taylor Townsend cools of a good team in Lumberton…If I left someone out it wasn’t on purpose
Great....will this be an every week thing or just this time around?
 21. I vote we put a strength of schedule beside the schools.
