I figured for the amount of criticism that PNG’s D takes on here, that Crosby’s would be that much worse. I think PNG’s band is still playing at Stallworth!

I have seen both play and am very aware of the immense talent that both young men possess. Just because I pick one over the other doesn’t mean I dismiss the other one completely. I’m close to people in both camps. Roschon has compiled a substantial amount of accolades: Elite 11, The Opening, various superlatives for District/State/etc. He also received personal phone calls from Urban Meyer, Dabo Swinney and Jimbo Fisher (all of which coached NFL level QBs). Ray has competed at the highest level of HSFB - 6A. He’s also played for 2 different OCs in 2 different systems. He has immense talent and has acquired some superlatives as well. It just hasn’t translated to offers yet, and that may have something to do with his recent shoulder surgery. I think both have great futures ahead of them. But if you’re asking me which one I’d pick, I’d pick Shug.

The one who went to Elite 11 and has hard offers from multiple Power 5 Conference schools

Easy draw with HISD and Navasota in the first round. Then, you get Crandall, Carthage, Kilgore and Chapel Hill. Some different kids roaming the turf in that neck of the woods. Good luck

Nowhere in there did I detract from the kids’ ability to play. Don’t get your panties in a wad Klein Forest. The statement in no way indicates a lack of ability to compete or win. Only that the times recorded seem a bit inflated. I’ve rarely seen a Nederland team that isn’t competitive. However, I doubt there are legit 4.4/4.5 guys on that team. Take that for what you will.

Some people in that community would be content with going 1-9 and that one win being vs Nederland than going 9-1 and making a playoff run and that loss being against Nederland.
