I agree with you completely However, how many sub 5A programs with an athletic director other than the Head Football Coach have a successful football program? And to answer a previous poster's question, I don't think simply making the playoffs is successful. Especially, in today's scenario where 4 teams make it.

Find me a football program that is successful when a head coach of a sport other than football is the AD. Excluding districts with a stand alone AD. I bet there are few to none.

At this rate, put the Alabama Crimson Tide or New England Patriots up there to make a 10 game schedule. Am I wrong to assume that coaches would like to pick up a 10th game, even if that might result in a loss?

What about getting Evangel, John Curtis, Sulphur, Vinton or Barbe on he schedule?

Why not have the head basketball coach be the head football coach? Basketball first guys serving as the head football coach is insane and backwards
