Back when they were 11 Man, I knew some area coaches that eyeballed this job as a Retire-Rehire spot. Coach at High Island, live on Crystal Beach. Not a bad way to retire and keep some skin in the game in my opinion.

I’m referring to kids who are going from starter to backup and have a different option with a somewhat familiar face. The superintendent is a former BISD guy. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that kids who were at Ozen and are now backups to look into Hamshire-Fannett. For example, backups at PAM transferring to Mid-County schools. It may not happen, just a thought.

Might snag up some of those former Ozen kids who live in Cheek
