  1. The district I'm referring to is the old 21-6A/5A with: West Brook, PAM, Deer Park, North Shore, La Porte, Channelview and Sterling No doubt West Brook would've done well in the current Pasadena District - only real challenge would've been Deer Park this year I think
  2. It's been impressive to see Kingwood experience the success they've had this year without a school due to Harvey Congrats on a great season!
  3. PAM also went 3-7 in that district their last year in 6A North Shore beats BWB, but West Brook makes playoffs. No hate for PAM or BWB, but they never consistently beat the top 3 in that district: North Shore, La Porte and Deer Park
  4. Got beat by Deer Park, La Porte and North Shore too Kid is a stud - no doubt about it
  5. That might be the case I know some educators who cringe when a NoLa kid strolls into their classroom... Lightyears behind others in their class. Just what I've heard tho...
  6. Agreed Only one of those from that district is still salty, and that's North Shore. That district used to be some intense football, week in and week out. Lots of good players that went on to play Division 1 Football and later the NFL.
  7. Best of luck to both teams Slot-T vs Slot-T... I think I'd rather watch paint dry
  8. This thread has been rendered to cliche Hitler parodies... smh
  9. BWB and PAM were getting rolled in that district at the end Best thing that ever happened to those schools was the previous realignment
  10. So, be average to mediocre at both? Go, 5-5 or 6-4, then take an L in the first round? Maybe draw a scrub and get bounced in the 2nd? Shoot man - I personally love a hard nosed, physical running game paired with a stout defense. But if it ain't in the cards, it ain't in the cards. I'd like to think Coach Faircloth wants to do everything he can to win a football game with the talent he has by putting kids in the best position to win. I don't know the mind of the man, but I can assume he wants to do the best job he can doing it his way. Unrelated: Another observation I've made the last couple of years is that the upstart schools (Manvel, College Station, Summer Creek, Dawson...etc) have had a ton of success very early on with little to no tradition. Guess there's something to being the shiny, new object in the store...idk....
  11. I agree 100% - have your cake and eat it too It wasn’t that long ago (within the last few years) that PNG had a Top 20 Defense with the same coordinator. Burnett put his eggs on defense, he got ran out of town because they couldn’t score and make playoffs consistently. Now people are wanting to run Faircloth out of town, while he makes playoffs consistently and scores lots of points, but doesn’t play the defense people like. Whats the answer?
  12. But good gosh a mighty those Burnett teams could tackle....
  13. Might be more of a Jimmy’s and Joe’s than the DC Food for thought
  14. Y’all gonna hit up ol Orange Bloods when he’s toting it 50 times a game on the 40 acres?
  15. Congrats K-Wood Also, big turn around at Lake Hats off to both teams and staffs
  16. 27-16, College Station 97 yard TD run by QB Marquez Perez
  17. RIP Madisonville until proven differently
  18. No hate on PAM I pick Temple and will eat crow if I’m proven wrong
  19. ^^^^ +1,000 Oilers or Canes would be legit
  20. No disagreement there Some kids would definitely move on, can’t argue that
  21. Understandable However, TJ/Lincoln/SFA has kids starting at all 3 schools and Forest Brook/Smiley had starters at their respective schools. This would be difficult for the kiddos, no doubt about it. Could be a powerful teaching tool for the students about responding positively to change and thriving in the face of adversity. All in all, I hope the community gets what they want out of the deal.
  22. Blue and Grey?
