Happy to hear these 2 schools are getting to play - Surprised, but pleasantly

Just to recap Nederland, Lumberton, PNG, Livingston and Lee have games PAM and Central have scrimmages Vidor still out of commission with the goal of starting school on the 19th

In your opinion, do you make 8 schools wait on the one who can't play? Legit question, and I'm just curious of your thoughts.

PNG good to go - Game vs Sterling Nederland good to go - Game vs Dayton PAM good to go - Scrimmage vs Channelview Livingston good to go - They're scheduled to play Caney Creek, not sure what shape CC is in Lumberton is scheduled to go back to school on the 11th, but HF can't play this week Lee is good to go - They're scheduled to play GCM, not sure of the status of that game Central and Ozen are waiting for water access, and their games have been cancelled Vidor is dealing w/ substantial damage to their community/school Feel free to correct me as needed, just trying to recap the state of the district.

Back in '05 w/ Rita, local teams had to play "home" games at other sites

I suppose the exception tagged on #5 is how both Central and Ozen are "magnet" schools and are both 5A. West Brook is not a magnet school, so it may not apply. I really don't understand it completely, which is why I am asking. Much smarter people than myself out there.

Conference and District Assignment Policies and Procedures 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 Realignment (4) Multiple High School Districts with schools in more than one conference, one of which is a magnet school. A multiple high school district with schools in more than one conference, one of which is a magnet school, shall have the magnet school placed in the same conference as the high school in that school district with the largest enrollment. A magnet school is defined as a high school within a multiple high school district where all students participate in the magnet curriculum. (5) EXCEPTION: Exceptions to the above may be made when agreed upon by all participating schools and approved by the District Assignment Review Committee.

Are they allowed to drop since they are a magnet school?

Seeing as they weren't able to hire someone to coach a 5A high school with 4A numbers until weeks before the 2016 season, I'll bet they'll keep Taylor as long as he wants to stay there. They 've had one winning season since 2005 and haven't been to the playoffs since 2014.

I'm sure the kids enjoy getting to wear them Would be fun to seem some the area teams bust out the old/throwback uniforms when they play each other: PNG/WOS, Ned/WOS, if PAM did one for TJ/Lincoln/SFA at different points in the year. Sounds like some PNG faithful would completely go bananas if the "zig-zags" were brought back. Unreasonable to think it could be done, but fun to think/talk about.

I feel like I see them wearing the same ones from back in 90s every great now and again.

Humble has some athletes - would interesting to see them put it all together
