  1. I'll be there as usual along with the other 2499 attendees!
  2. It may be best to rest Dawkins. We will not beat TSU without him healthy. Our pace wlows down considerably without him and we all know TSU will run, run, run!
  3. Tell you what, Reynolds was hell on wheels against us last year. Not sure who we have that can stop him if those guys are injured. We need Dawk!
  4. I know PNG made the Masters a requirement, but did PAM specify "CHESS MASTERS" in their job posting? ;D
  5. I have learned if you ignore a jack ass he will go away! ;D
  6. Just curious why there was no comment from the MB?
  7. Look again at my post about what you call the "Morale BS". I said if the gov't makes them provide the list then at least they can say to any candidates that it upsets that they were forced to release it, thus those candidates might actually keep their name in the hat because that just might be a good employer! Pretty sure PNG is not going to BREAK THE LAW! I think they made that clear that they would get legal advice before they release anything. Some of you guys just hate all things PNG and will allways point the finger and say we are just arrogant, pompus, blah, blah, blah, blah without actually looking at the facts.
  8. Someone mentioned after the SELA game that they thought the officiating was bad because they missed some calls and I stated I actually thougt they did a good job of letting them play because most SLC officials never allow for the game to play itself out on the court calling way to many fouls. Proof of that tonight! Sounds like UTA was ready to go after Saturdays loss!
  9. Why? Because our School Board doesn't what a potential candidate to back out because he might get fired if he interviews? It sucks for us who want to know, but I understand and applaud it! It's a morale issue. Ask the exBoston College coach about confidentiallity? If the gov't requires them to release it then they will release it. If candidates remove their name because of the release then PNG has suffered because the media/gov't. and not because of PNG. That's not arrogance folks! And if you think it is then we wouldn't want you in PN or Groves!
  10. UVSU just lost that one vote...They lost to Houston Baptist tonight! As far as us not playing any of those teams henceforth the reason we haven't beaten them, that's my point. We haven't really beaten anyone just yet to warrant us being MM top 25. Most of those teams in the top 25 have beaten at least one other team receiving a vote ala SFA beating Drake and NDSU.
  11. The problem I see is that LU hasn't beaten anyone on the list or anyone that received a vote yet! I figure the SLC to get a 14 seed because there are several conferences with really bad records going into conference play and invariably a 20+ win team will lose a conference tournament and auto bid to a 16 seed.
  12. I think LU wins a close one. FT shooting down the strecth pays off for LU. LU 76 UTA 72 Would be nice to get a three game cushion on those guys this early.
  13. I have to agree on this one, KD does more for this team than any other PG hass ever done for an LU team. He is a delight to watch. Wish we would have had him for 4 years. I really hope that Miles is learning from watching Kenny do his thing. Miles shows some flashes of being very good in time as well. Nuno Muandumba that we are getting from AZ next year is highly rated on the ESPN database. They had Charlie Harper and Miles with 40 scouts grades out of HS last year and they have Nuno at 87.
  14. Wirthout question for PNG over the years it has been WOS. Who said Vidor? Vidor plays hard but we have beaten them year in and year out. This year was the first loss to the Pirates in a while. MC Madness goes back and forth a lot. I wouldn't say Nederland is the toughest to beat because we have beaten them, but lately it is only every third year! WOS on the other hand always beat us. They were the only team to beat the Long team in '99 before state and in '98 they stoped us on the two yard line and we couldn't get back linedup to try and win it as time ran out. When K. Franks was there we kicked off late in the second half after tieing the score 7-7 and we tried to kick it away from Franks, but we kicked it OB and they chose to move us back and re-kick, so instead of kicking away from him again, we kick it right to him. Needless to say that didn't turn out so well for us as he hurdle a defender at mid-field and took it to the house. We lost 14-7. It wasn't just that we rarely beat them, but rather that each time we lost to them it was a nail bitter and you expect to win a few of those! And the one time I remember us beating them we blew them out.
  15. Actually I disagree. They missed a few travels and a few calls, but they let them play. That's what is wrong with SLC Crews usually they call every ticky tacky play. Get out of the SLC and the big dogs get physical and the officiating allows them to play.
  16. Young men make mistakes! If true then this was not that bad of a mistake and I am sure he learned a valuable lesson. I would have been very dissapointed if it had been drugs or robbery like some of our other local talent that made it to Austin. Did he hurt anybody? Did he hurt himself? And you have to ask yourself also did he even know that he wasn't supposed to sell the tickets? So what did he do that was so wrong that he shouldn't warrant a second chance? Again if it was rape or drugs or robbery or assault then I would really question his judgement, but it was none of those things and not even close. So being it a minor mistake and he paid a pretty lofty penalty by not being able to experience the bowl atmosphere and the gifts that come with it, I would venture to say this could be a good thing for his future (not as good if he didn't do it at all of course) and it shouldn't hurt him later in life like one of those other offenses would have done. All this is contingent on him learning from this minor mistake.
  17. Ozen! Seems like they fire one about every other year! I could be wrong, but that's what it seems like.
  18. Young men make mistakes! If true then this was not that bad of a mistake and I am sure he learned a valuable lesson. I would have been very dissapointed if it had been drugs or robbery like some of our other local talent that made it to Austin.
  19. No kidding! 6-1 218?? I don't think that is accurate. Hanna is smaller than Hemmings was and Hemmings was 6-0 215. I'd move him to LB (especially if he is 6-1 218). He could play at 230.
  20. Very good school and very $$$$. One of the top Engineering schools in the nation. In the Denver Area. They must be DII??
  21. I worry about our ability to gaurd Green! We haven't done well so far with 6'5"+ guys that shoot from outside. Home court gets us a tight win, but attendance will only be right around 3K.
  22. Have they released any design info? I bet it will be nice. I would love to see something built into a hill on either side like Silsbee or Tully Stadium (of course they'd have to build the hill ;D).
  23. I must say that of all the local 4A's Vidor has the worst facilities followed closely by Lumberton. But at least Lumberton has a good parking lot! To answer the question of the post with another question, didn't the bond in BMT pass for a new joint facility? If so what is the time frame? Will be interesting to see what they come up with for those three schools to share. I heard it would be located out on I10 near Ford Park.
  24. I know kids change their minds all the time for one reason or the other, but if you are not finished with the recruiting process, DON'T COMMITT!!!!!!! I suspect Louis is a standup kid, because of his family background.
