1. Well said 44. The talent level behind this class may be the best in years. So, no matter what happens this year, I for one am extremely anxious to see what BF can do with the youngsters once they mature.
 2. From our district I would bump LCM down to a 2. No playoffs in the last 5 years. Also Tx City is probably a 3...What have they done the past 5 years? Not sure they have even made the playoffs. And Terry? I would swap Dawson and BHam. Dawson gets a knod for the D1 recruits, but No Title game yet. By that same assessment, BHam has the D1 recruits and a title game appearance.
 3. Speaking of those once mighty Bay City Blackcats...boy have they fallen off of the TX HS Football map!!!
 4. Program is in the best position its been overall in years. Whats so different? Go back and look. PNG would go 11-3 then go sub .500 and out of the playoffs for three years then go 10-4 then back to sub .500 for three years.  Why?  Coaching!!! BF knows how to win with what he has and what he has comming. Nederland just so happens to be going through a period the next few years where they have some very talanted teams comming. So it is very possible that PNG may not win the next 2 or 3 years, but could still be 9-1 or 8-2 and then go several rounds deep.
 5. Also I cound't really understand Padilla pitting a 4A vs 3A in one of it's showcases. The better matchup would be LaMarque/SVille or PNG and another well traveled 4A.
 6.
Must be a "young" Ozen Panther with all that bad spelling...lol.  Despite me being a Jaguar and also pulling for Ozen, until proven otherwise, Nederland is not overrated.
This guy is not an Ozen Panther fan. Notice how his spelling was just fine on some rather difficult words to spell in his first few posts:
Are the bullpups overrated? They were one play away from losing to a "weak" vidor team and should have lost to Ozen. Even though they are returning a ton a starters are they the real deal or all hype?

Its called sarcasm
Then when he announces that he was a "Panta" fan all of a sudden he can't spell:
Ima Ozen panta lol. Why do u Nederland guys get so mad if y'all ate that good?
Also How many real Ozen Panther fans use "lol"?  ;D
 7. Most fun back with Barry Sanders type miss'ems that I ever saw in person was ShanDerrick Charles. For those that didn't know, he was Jamaal's older brother. Smaller in stature (5'8" maybe 175 in HS). Played for Lincoln in the late 90's and went on to SMU where he set an SMU single game rushing record as a Freshman (in only 3 quarters), beating out Dickerson and James. Unfortunately he had a neck injury as a senior at Lincoln that would become re-aggrevated at SMU durring his Soph. season. This ended his FB career.
 8. Allright BooDogs...It's rare, but this NDN fan expects big things from you guys this year. Just hope your guys stay healthy as this seems to bite (no Bulldog pun intended) you guys in the rear more so than any other local team year in and year out. Good Luck!
 9. There will also be a serious infusion of young talent in the Freshman ranks...Several kids that will contribute as the season goes on and they get there feet wet. (Kendrick King) remember that name.
 10. The Vidor defense was good last year, but not great...Q was great! Here are some facts to back that up from last year... Top 5 20-4A defenses last year from a PPG - District Only - stand point and returning starters this year 1. Nederland (16 PPG) - Not sure the numbers yet, but a lot 2. PNG (17 PPG) - 5 3. Livingston (19 PPG) - ??? I think they took a hit to graduation. 4. Vidor (20 PPG) - 7 5. Ozen (26 PPG) - 6 And Vidor gave up 32 ppg in there last 5 games of the season in which they went 3-2. And before someone post about the yards per game...YPG is misleading since Vidor runs a lot of clock. In the end the goal on defense is to stop the other team from scoring anyway!

Now they want Creuders head.
Seriously? You comparing us to lumberton? Wow. That's kinda sad.
Until proven differently!  It is a sad day for Vidor.  Reality bits hard.
God i can't not wait to shut everyone's mouth. Keep doubting us. That's just fueling the fire.
You said that last year and you ended up third in district.
And most believe this Vidor team to be a step down from last years. I personally think that the district as a whole will be down this year from last year. Nederland will be better, but most everyone else is dropping off a bit.
 12. W  at Silsbee L    West Orange-Stark W  Humble Summer Creek W  Lumberton# W  at Little Cypress-Mauriceville# W  at Beaumont Central# L    Nederland# L    at Vidor# W  Beaumont Ozen# W  at Livingston# 7-3 (5-2) Broken record from past two seasons.
 13. DEAD HORSE!!!! You havent noticed yet that no one responds to your posts anymore about this subject?
 14.

Why would a Penn St. player transfer to Lamar? They can transfer anywhere without penalty. Without looking at their current roster, but I highly doubt there is a state of Texas player on the Penn St. roster. I can't see any player from the northeast of the country transferring to Lamar.
I'm talking second string or lower ranking players. At Lamar, many of those 2nd string players can start. Anywhere else, back to the bench. It's worth the try.
Unless they are from TX or LA, I really don't see the need in waisting what little recruiting budget LU has on trying to attract talent from PSU that has been given a golden ticket to go elsewhere!
 15. Bottom line is LCM under Crouch couldn't get in the 4 team playoffs with its best team in years two years back. No way they beat WOS this year or any of the next 3 years with what WOS has coming. WOS 35+ (outta respect for Crouch) LCM 7
 16. All this "Vidor's gonna go 10-0" and "the Pirates are the best team this side of Lake Travis" sounds eerily familiar after one good season...CHOOO-CHOOO Ask the L-Train fans how all that talk worked out for them a few years back! Now they want Creuders head.
 17. There's no Refinery next door to the Reservation? Actually there is no refinery within a few miles of the Rez! Now the two local Chemical plants I'll give ya! Of course in Vidor it's the Methlab's that pollute the neighborhood around the Stadium.
 18. While I'll agree the Butch has good parking and I like the cover of the second deck, I have issues with the great view from anywhere statement from liltex. Get there late for a PNG game and sit midway up in the second deck! Horrible sight lines...can't see the sideline at all. Spend half the game wondering what just happened?
 19. To all those that think I am just an NDN fan hatin' on Ozen, here are some facts to support my argument... Starting with the PNG game last year through the final playoff game, Ozens defense gave up 27 ppg! The last 3 district games (PNG, Ned, Liv) and the BH game (leaving off Lumberton because they are well Lumberton) the defense gave up 36 ppg. So why did Ozen make the playoffs? because in there final three district wins and against BH they averaged 40 ppg. And they scored 41 against a great Ned defense.
 20.
I sure hate all of the coaches that have left the program recently....Hopefully they will fill those positions with coaches that are excited to teach and grow young men.... We need some excited coaches!!!
So do you HATE the coaches or hate that they are gone?
We will surprise some people.  August can't get here soon enough.
We hear this every year ::)...I guess if you throw the dart enough times you will hit every now and again. Every one is DC in July!
 21. Got to meet Earl a few years back and can say firat hand that Earl Thomas is a Shinning Star in a profession that doesn't always produce such illuminaries!
 22. Trey Green!!! GONE! Best playmaker in the district possibly the region has graduated. We will find out just how good coach Nelson is this year, because alot of what got them into and through the playoffs last year was not coached...it was the talents of Mr. Green when things broke down.
 23. This is the RB that led Abeliene to the 5A State title a couple years back. He was a big time recruit. ESPN 150 and top 10 RB.  Lets hope he rights his wrong! Just find that it typically does'nt tend to work out in these situations. Kid goes to a small school (who isn't paying him  ;) ) and it just gets worse.
 24.
2011 all-state kicker Juan Carranco Dayton senior year 2012 will break even more HS records and will get alot of offers.I've watched him since his varsity freshman yr.and the best I've ever seen @HS level ;)
Single handedly beat my NDNs in Bi-District last year (well the QB weren't bad himself).
 25. Hard to argue against Barbay at Coldspring.
