The twins and Scott are a pretty good trio. Ozen has an explosive trio. The biggest difference in Crosby's trio and the trio of Green, Jones and Nelson is that Green has a cannon for an arm and is a legit D1 QB prospect. When he scrambles and is moving toward the line he can throw it on a rope 50+ yards (not an exageration). The key for PNG containing him was we did a good job of keeping him in the pocket while putting pressure on him. He was also still favoring that right knee.

No. Second highest. You missed Angleton (10-0 and ranked #7) also I think it goes without saying that Pearland Dawson at 8-2 is worthy of a ranking. They dropped out because they lost their last two to Manvel and Lamarque (a couple of serious state title contenders).

8-2 Pearland Dawson had some big wins this year (5A LC Clear Springs and Crosby) 9-1 Rosenberg Terry at 19. only loss was 50-49 to #7 Angleton. Beat Lamarque, El Campo and Lamar Consolidated. Under-Rated!

KVille fans, please!!! Yes the 2011 Wildcats are a bad football team, just like the 2008 PNG Indians were a bad football team. It happens. Don't be so thin skinned. Yes you made the playoffs in a 5 team district you finished 3rd by beating two BAD teams in Huntington and Dibol. Congrats. mytwocents you posted the same things about PNG defense vs Vidors defense, how'd that work out for them. Also BH does run the Slot T! Saw it last year. They may run some option, but the base is the slot T. Who looks DUMB (in your words) now? I still say Vidor has to pass the ball better to win in the playoffs. They completed a couple of 4th Q passes against us, but outside of that they struggled throwing the ball. They need to complete 50+ % to win in weeks 11-16. If Vidor can capitalize on the element of suprise and complete a hand full of early passes (usually open), they can and will beat Crosby.

Crosby just played BH this past week so actually they have been preparing for this offense for two weeks. 2. Crosby has just as many athletes as Ozen or Livingston. The Walters twins at QB and RB are very good FB players. And #76 is the biggest HS FB player these eyes have ever seen! 3. Lamarque had four loses last year and almost won it all. 4 losses mean little at this point. They played Montgomery, PNG and Dawson pre-district!!! They also have good wins over BH and PNG. 4. Wrong...BH beat Dayton and put a whoopin on Goose Creek. Beating BH is a very good W. 5. PNG has improved a lot on defense since the Crosby game, but to say Crosby hasn't improved???They beat two of the three playoff teams from their district. 6. Vidor will have an edge in the crowd. Thurday game will draw alot of local 20 4A fans (myself included). 7. I always get a kick out of the "More Heart" statement. Heart can't be measured!!! Really 5 TD's??? Vidor has scored 5 TD's 3 times all year and the only team they beat by more than 3 TDs was a very bad 3A (soon to be 2A) KVille team and you think they will beat a pretty good playoff team by 35? Good Luck with that. I will be at LU rooting on the Pirates, but I will not predict a W. Crosby will be a tuff out. Remember they have a recent history of knocking off 20 4A round 1.

The three that impressed me the most where Lamb of course, Harper look good, very fundametal and Miles looked good running the offense. Didn't look out of control and was being a real leader.
