1.
Nederland?
Small town between Beaumont and Port Arthur, just east of US 69!
 2.

He could play some defense to as well as ret.kicks/punts.I believe A&M recruited him as athelete ;)
They did have him as an athlete.  I don't know if he played KR or PR for Livingston, but I do think he played defense some.
Oh he definetily played CB. He had two picks against us, one a pick six.
 3.
I agree, and he has not had any injury's but I hear he played the Nederland and Lumberton game while haveing a kidney stone....... :o
He was also heavily wrapped in one ankle against Nederland.
 4. So is this just the to player in each category from each team? Cause I know Chipman and Lacour would be top 5 in WR otherwise with roughly 250 yds a peice. Thanks for compiling. For some reason I cant read the Stats on the forum??
 5. Brenham in the all whites with the white helmet. Look like storm troopers when they come out! Reminds me of '89 when PNG wore all whites with white helmet. Sharpe. WOS silver and blue is nice. I also like BC's new unis.
 6. Seen 'em both. Livingstons offense is just as good as last year, the difference is the Lion defense is much better than 2010. For that matter the Nederland D is better than last years, but the Offense is not. I see Nederland slowing Liv down, but I don't see Nederland scoring much. End of 1 (7-7) End of 2 (7-10 Dogs) End of 3 (14-13 Lions) Final (27-13 Lions)
 7. Stop beating this horse. He is dead...The kids made a mistake as most kids do. Thankfully for them and their loved ones they get to learn from their mistake, which I am certain they will and are doing...Too many today don't get a second chance. No glass over here in Groves. Our kids aren't much different than yours are!
 8. Something else that goes unmentioned about Nelson...He is probably the best downfield blocker we have ever had. If you get to go back and watch film you will see that Jayce is busy on every play! Turnover battle probably decides this one. Lost the battle against Livingston and Crosby and won the battle versus GP and TC.
 9. I predict 13,000 screaming idiots on Friday night at the Res...And I 'll be one of 'em! ;D (really went out on a limb there didn't I). Go Injuns!
 10. Trocket, to Livingstons credit, that Lion run defense is way better than last year. That plus what you guys continue to do on offense with CC and the Bull, leads me to believe that you guys will win out going 10-0. However I still say you gotta be two dimmensional to beat the likes of Brenham, Manvel and Dawson!
 11. Numbers don't lie. PAM Trio!
 12.
With all the new fire code laws, etc it will be tough to break the old records. They used to allow the parts of the track to be SRO but I haven't seen that in years.
I agree. They sell 13,000 seats. Thats it. No SRO. The only SRO will be outside the gates.
 13.
Kids a great player, but Nederland doesn't have to stop him in order to win...it has already been mentioned that he had a big game against Nederland last year...we all know what the final result there was...I think the strategy needs to be to control him, not give up the big plays and force someone else from png to beat you
Good assessment. He is just too good to try and stop. Kid is legit. Our offense is not our problem. We will score one way or the other. It's our run defense this year that we have to get a handle on. Our pass defense is night and day better than last year. Romero, Peveto, Hebert, Clark and Hollier have really improoved.
 14.

We may have Refineries, but thanks to Robin Hood we give all the $$$$$$ back to the state.
only share tax dollars not contributions :D :D
We passed a bond to pay for the new and renovated schools and stadium becuase we understand the importance of giving the kids good facilities to learn, compete and grow up in. We understand that these kids are our future and if we want to keep them in school and on the right track for success you gotta invest in their future. So why can't they get the bond passed in Black and Gold country? Your kids need new schools.
 15.
How is that relevant to THIS game?

Interesting numbers, Nederland is 12-6 against PNG since Neuman took over.
But, but, but, Who has the better playoff record?

I'll give you the 11-5 record Neuman vs Burnett, but 1-1 against Faricloth so this is the rubber match. Neuman and staff did an outstanding job last year identifying a weekness in our Defense and exploiting. Can they do it again? Tune in for round 3!
 16.

I think with the rich history of WOS they haven't ever had a losing season; however, not sure on that.  Does anyone know?
That is correct, 1983 is the only losing season the Mustangs have had.  And, much to your dismay, 2011 won't be the second.
I predict a 7-3 regular season. I don't see them loosing the rest of the way. Folks forget they lost to two good 4A programs on last second 2 point conversions and by 8 to a big strong Giddings team that is a 3A power year in and year out. No one they face the rest of the way will be as good.
 17.
I think Neumann is around 90k but he was making a lot less before being considered at La Marque a few years ago. I don't know Faircloth's but I'm sure its higher. I think I remember Daytons coach over 100k.
Faircloth started at $82K on his original 2 year deal. He does not make near what Neuman makes yet. At the time of the LaMarque proposal he (Neuman) was at 90K and the LM job offer was at 103K from what I recall, so I would bet he is close to 100K if not right at it. Allman at Westlake got $125K to leave Permian (his alma mater)! I know all three BISD coaches make the same, in the 75K - 80K range. This could be a problem if Stump gets an offer he cant refuse, since a 20K raise would cost 60K to the BISD the way they scale. Not sure anyone would be real happy giving Washington and Nelson an extra 20K to keep Stump?
 18. Lets be clear here, Trey Franks crimes are not hurting anyone but himeself and are not CRIMINAL at all. He just needs to learn when to keep his mouth (or should I say thumbs) shut.
 19. Could do that in this district, but once they get into the playoffs most 5A teams in rd.2 and beyond all go 6'3"+ and 250+ accross the D Line and have stout LB's as well. Then again they also usually have 4.4 cover corners also! The O line at 4A Manvel this year 6'3" 320 lbs 6'3" 315 lbs (baby brother of the one above) 6'1" 250 lbs (the little guy) 6'2" 260 lbs 6'6" 290 lbs They also have a kid on the D line at 6'6" 280. Monsters!
 20.

The official attendance was 15,367.  I would rather the game be sold out but that is not a bad number.
Actually, that was how many tickets were sold (which is the only way to count). I went to the game, and 15,000 did not attend. I say it was in the 13,000's.
In my best Joker voice: "And HERE            WE          GO!" Back to reality. LU will never draw 20K average playing UIW and the likes or the majority of the SLC schools for that matter.
 21.
Shut up and play.
BINGO Someone close to him should take his phone from him,  as this is the second time it and modern technology have gotten him in hot water!!! He may be back in two weeks, but the talent level at OU is so great that he will probably get burried now that he has gotten on Stoops bad side.
 22. This is the same Trey Franks that was suspended his Senior season at WOS, am I not correct? Seems like a patern! ???
 23. Waltrip was about 100 miles from Silsbee...Thats pretty far! ;D
 24. Pretty silly question don't you think?
 25.
Coach Crouch and his coaching staff have done a good job of turning the culture around where we expect to win.  Now the big question is can we get over the hurdle and make it to the playoffs. Still too early to tell.
Agreed on all counts.
