1.
There was just a lot of confusion when we were there before. They had trouble with the clock and trouble with the play clock. It was like they had somebody running the scoreboard who knew nothing about football and didn't understand the signals from the refs.
Play clock and game clock are run by a member of the local Officiating Chapter (paid), not someone from the stadium or the home team.
 2. OF No Doubt. Nederland a close second with all the issues they had this year, to get back in!
 3. Whats even funnier than that bh89-2 is that when I go anywhere in Mont Belvieu and ask about the Eagles they all claim to be Bronco fans!!! ;D
 4. You do realize that when it rains a passing offense has an advantage right. Because the footing is what gets slippery, especially on a artificial turf, and the WR knows where he is going. The DB doesn't! Also PNG averaged 36.8 ppg not 33. Go check the scores. Our defense would have had stats closer to BH as well had when been playing North Forest, CE King, Lee, etc.. Again I say go back and look at what you did against quality opponents pre-district and against Dayton!
 5.

Had a REF tell me WOS 8th grade looks like a 2A Varsity!
Well it's "official", a ref said it was so......... ;D ;D  Those clowns cant even call a decent game anymore. They are to worried about paying the UIL.... ;) I'll give WOS one thing for sure, they always "beleive"....just never do anything with it.  ;)  Guess they can always go clean their 1980's State sign near the stadium.   ;D ;D
WOW, once again a BH fan calling the kettle black! When was the last time BH made it to a State Title game? or hell, even made a deep playoff run? But boy do they believe they are a perennial state title contender.
 6. Lumberton vs BH= Lumberton 33 BH 13 (BH -20) Lumberton vs PNG= PNG 42 Lumberton 14 (PNG +28) Crosby vs BH= BH 35 Crosby 21 (BH +14) Crosby vs PNG= PNG 38 Crosby 7 (PNG +31) Two can play at that game. We played a healthy Nederland in one of the biggest rivalries in the state and lost in a game that came down to the last play! You hung on to beat a battered Nederland team that was without Forney and Sonnier. Very, very different team! PNG average loss this season was (-4) BH average loss this season was (-34) ouch...gotta hand it to you, when you go down you really go down! PNG average win was (+19) BH Average win was (+18)
 7. Way to eat that Crow like a man. I expect Central to dismantle GP after what happened this past friday night. We are rooting for the Jags and the rest of 20-4A. Time for this district to once again show 19-4A who is boss. Funny how they ride the coat tails of that Purple team over there!
 8.

PN-G by alot, more than that, even more than that. ;) Indians 51 Hill 7
Give BH some credit. 19-4a= weak district, not very good offenses, but 19-4a tops are better than 20-4a tops. 20-4a= good district, weak defenses, good offense(because weak defense) PN-G hasnt faced the caliber of defense that BH holds. +  BH holds the ball for most of the game therefore PN-G doesnt score much.
19 4A tops? If by this you mean the 19 4A top 4 (playoff teams) versus the 20 4A top 4 (playoff teams), you are smoking crack. You playoff teams went 1-2 against our district with an average score of 31(20-4A) to 16 (19-4A) in those games!!! Dayton is the class of the area! Beyond that your argument holds no water. p.s. that one win was against a Nederland team without its starting QB or its big playmaker (Sonnier). PNG pre-district gave up 20ppg, the Hill gave up 30ppg. That vaunted BH defense wasn't so good until it faced 19-4A competition (outside of Dayton)! Add in Dayton and when you faced quality opponents you gave up 36 ppg!!! And concerning your 14 point win over the "reigning district champs from last year", we smoked em by 31!!! As a matter of fact we smoked em by 30 last year when they were actually CHAMPS. How'd you do against this years District Champs? 0-54...Ouch (guess the defense lost it's way to the stadium that night!  ;D) How'd we do against our District Champs you ask...30 point W!
 9. Dan will retire after this 8th grade group graduates! Not many 8th grade teams out there running a true spread offense and the no huddle to boot! :o
 10.
PN-G Yall are cocky this isnt a DON PRICE Football Team .
WOW someone from BH calling PNG or anyone cocky. That's funny.  ;D
 11. Not sure why these two would play in Beaumont?
 12. One other thing I noticed last night...Very nice student crowd for a scrimmage! Could be a sign of things to come?
You can have the DC.........I'll take the win over the DC!
I'll take the 5 game win streak since revamping the defense with some new starters and a great move puting DJ at MLB. Allways good to be playing your best at the end of the season! Good Luck Jags in the playoffs! I'll be rooting for you.
 15.

Me too, the only way for Lumberton to get in is with a lot of teams losing, Nederland, Livingston, and PNG i think ALL have to lose for us to get in
AND Lumberton has to win. Not such an easy task. Ozen is the best 1 and 8 team in the state!
No. Green is the best player in the state on a 1 and 8 team! Good Luck Raiders. I think your gonna need it tonight!
 16. That was some funny stuff. Coy throws one down and lets out this howl as he was foul in the act! Starts chest bumping his teammates and the crowd just cracked up! He looked better than in past years. Adams looked very good. Big strong gaurd. About 6'3" and 210. He shot well from all over the floor and he didn't turn the ball over!! Davis is a long rangey threat from outside. He hit 50% from outside, but his misses just rimmed out. He has a sweet stroke and pretty quick trigger. He and Lamb also hooked up on a pretty sweet ally oop with Lamb getting the assist. Lamb is fast, but didn't shoot very well, especially from the line. But when he got the ball in the open court he blew by everyone! Nelson will take up the slack of Nabors and Sanders. He has a better mid range game then those guys and goes to the basket very strong. He is also has better ball handling skills then those two, but he may not be as good down low. Brazier looked strong. Still unsure about what he will bring, but we need help down low. The rest of the post players are a work in progress with Harris being the most impressive. Harris looked better than a true Freshman, but not ready for primetime. Milk Harris looked about the same. Still has no outside game and had trouble finishing, but he is quick and can get to the basket. With our new outside threats his ability to get to the hole and dish outside to those guys should lead to some open looks which these guys will knock down. Harper looked better. Gotta stay healthy. The James shoot around at halftime was impressive. Not known as a big deep threat, but he was knocking down uncontested three after three! This team is way better than last years. Dare I say they have better talent then the Sanders Dawkins DHop Todd group. Just gotta parley it into W's
 17.

I think PNG gets Dayton if Nederland gets in and Livingston gets in, that would make them D2-#2. I think PNG will surprise Dayton, PNG 's offense will test Dayton's defense.
agree with the bolded part... but I don't think it will be a surprise. Not to our coaches and players at least. As a fan, I'd rather our kids see a diverse offense like LCM or PNG. Brenham will most likely be next.... Gotta be ready for everything. Dayton's coaching staff is in an interesting spot right about now.... Who do you scout? could be LCM, PNG or LIV... guess it'll be skeleton crews between our game and these three I guess. And... Dayton's D will test PNG's O should we happen to meet.
Good point about the coaches and which game to scout. Of course with video it won't matter as much.
 18.
LOL.. You got me to bite on that subject line.. Although it could be possible in football if PNG wins in the first round.. But, I got 54 reasons why they wont. Dayton is for Really for Real.
Do you know something we don't? You have a crystal ball? Already know the outcome of this friday nights 20-4A tilt? Because last time I checked the scenarios had us at even odds for DI #2, DII #1 & DII #2.
 19. PNG makes me nervous every Friday Night! PPG spread in all games: +16.4 PPG in 5 Wins -4.25 PPG in 4 losses It's been a gut wrenching bunch of Fridays!
 20.
Ok I'll make my case for Lumberton's QB, Hughes  1) He didn't throw the number of passes Doty, Gonzales or Green did and consequently doesn't have the statistics they have.  That's the Lumberton offense and there's nothing he could do about that  2) He doesn't have the offensive line and the protection the others have and his statistics were obtained while running for his life.  3) He lost all of his starting receivers from last year. 4) Lumberton is the smallest team in the district.  With those negatives, he's been a very accurate passer even though his receivers dropped a lot of passes.  His passing yards are good considering the low number of attempts.  He has a strong arm and can throw the ball deep with accuracy and touch.  He's a very strong runner.  He stays in the pocket well and has taken many hits after delivering completed passes.  He's proven he can take a hit.  He's a smart QB that all the players respect.  He does everything the coaches wanted him to do.  He was the newcomer of the year in 2008 and 1st Team All District with Doty in 2009.  He gained arm strength and speed from last year and is one of Lumberton's best QBs ever.  You can't ignore the statistics, but you have to consider the whole picture.  That's exactly how the colleges are evaluating him.
What colleges?  Good HS QB, but he will not play QB in college! Doesn't have the arm. I have only seen 3 QB's in 20-4A that have the arm and height to play QB in college. Green, Doty and Forney (Mitchell will develop as he is still growing). As a matter of fact I thought the JV QB last year at Lumberton was a better passer than Hughes, just not as good an overall athlete.
 21. They are 23-2 the last two years...Who cares who they played. THEY WON!!!!
 22. Round 2 is against winner out of 17-4A and 18-4A...Brehnam! Those Houston teams are in 21 & 22 4A...They play 23 (El Campo) & 24 (Lamarque, Tx City) in round 2.
 23.
hehe ol mr baker always paints our feild up nicely. he has got to be one of the best around.
Yes, great experience all around, especially since I found the shortcut to get in and out of the stadium without traffic issues (drove right in and right out without ever stoping and made it home in 20-25 minutes). The painting on the 50 was very well done as well.
 24.
Png had a good defensive stratagy aginst lcm, all lcm needed to do was run the ball ,then they beat png.
Did you watch the game?  LCM tried to run the ball, unsuccessfully! Other than Gonzo scrambling, which he did very well at times, the other backs were shut down.
ned hasen't seen an all air attack this season so i still say lcm42 ned21
Smoke much?? Have you seen Ozen or PNG? Both can wing it! Go look at the stats! Doty against Nederland 30/46 360-yds 2-TDs 0-Ints Green against Nederland 16/30 380-yds 5-TDs 1-Int I'd say they have seen a couple of pretty dang good passing teams and check the outcomes of both of those games! Bulldog wins.
