1.
that is of course if the score is 38-13 at half then of course some of the starters will be rested!!!!!!
Whos Up? ;D
 2. If Allman is making $125K per year at Westlake, Dodge could make $126K somewhere as HS HC. QB Coach at UT would bring in $200K+. OC Half a mil. Look for G. Davis to take the fall for UT's season. Leaves that door wide open! As I have said before, Dodge may have failed overall at UNT, but his teams did one thing and one thing well...they scored and put up stats. Just didn't stop anyone! Maybe Dodge to UT as OC with Major as QB Coach or vice versa.
 3.
Greens completion % would be a whole lot better if his recievers could catch.  In the game against the Pirates his recievers must have mistaken the stick em spray can for WD-40.  I dont know how many passes they dropped.  He has a great arm too.  If what happened in our game has been happening all year then his completion % is taking a hit.  He is special
Green threw the ball 60 yards in the air down field on the run against us!!! That's when the game got interesting. Before that looked like it would be a blowout.
 4.
LCM struggled w/GCM & BH beat NED but Dayton whooped the 19-4a pair 103-7 and the 7 was late vs.2nd string D and the O played 3 qtrs.Here's your sign  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Funny how you left out PNG's 38-7 beatdown of Crosby off that list.
 5. Central beats GP, but that round 2 matchup will be tuff. Humble is stout (5A team moved down this year). Rolled through a week district, but let no-one think they had a chance!
 6.
district mvp: damon heard off. mvp: hunters gonzales def. mvp:  kewon #95 central newcomer: robert mitchell- usually goes to a soph or freshman 1st team: david green ; doty. just like last year it was hughes and doty 1st team.
Looks good to me except I would pit Schexneider up for Defensive MVP. Since the move to MLB, 3 ints, 1 for TD, 1 to stop a TD returned 50 yards, 3 forced fumbles, 4 sacks and a bunch of tackles.
 7. I would agree that Doty is the most accurate and looks the part of a Saturday QB, but I was very impressed with Greens arm. I think if he had an offensive line that didn't have him running for his life at the snap of the ball and always throwing on the run, he would be more accurate. I also think that if PNG didn't have such a good running game, Doty's numbers would be even better. I think Gonzo has done all he could do and the numbers show it, fantastic. Sooooo, District MVP: Damon Heard Offensive MVP: Hunter Gonzales Newcomer of the Year: Green, Bertrand or Mitchell 1st team QB: Brennan Doty

Turner at PG slot, but have improved by 4-5 games every yr with this senior class -- 19 wins this yr?
I have literally NEVER heard of that school.
Thats funny, because they probably have a post that looks like this on their site:
#243 Lamar - Backcourt trio A Miles, K Harris and C Harper and top-10 recruiting class should make the Cardinals dangerous this season.
I have literally NEVER heard of that school. And why are we scheduling bottom feeding DI schools llike Lamar anyway? ;D
 9.

Carthage is the 2 time defending 3A DI State Champs correct? I'll take Carthage until prooven otherwise. No knock on KVille, but Champ is Champ until prooven otherwise. Besides, these two will not be in the same division if memory serves me correct. Won't find out on the field.
Unless they let all the players from those 2 teams come out and suit up again old trophies wont do anyone much good.
One thing that both teams have going for them is that all the returning players from last year had extra practice time over most teams they have played this year so far.
 10. Considering the last two times we played Crosby the finals were: 2010  38-7 PNG 2009  37-7 PNG I would say we matchup well against Crosby or they don't matchup well, whatever.

 12.
Keep them in front of you Indians. If you have to chase them down the field, it could be a long night. This should be another classic like last year, a real slug fest. Good luck to both teams, this is going to be one for the record books.....
I don't think it will be like last year. Last year was a defensive battle. I think this will be an offensive showdown. Should be fun to watch. And that JagUar halftime show comes to the Reservation! Gotta Luv It! Glad Cantue is OK. I would doubt he plays this week also. They have really tightened up on returning to action after head and neck injuries recently. He is a big part of that Central Defense and will be needed in the playoffs at full strength.
 13.

I think PN-G have a mutual respect for us no matter what happens.  I don't think they'll give us much lip if we do decide to rest players.  At the same time, if we do go all out and they do beat us, I don't think they will be on here acting a darn fool or anything.
;) ;) ;) ;) Yeah right!!!!!!  ;) ;) ;) ;) That's a sucker bet.  Those fools will be on here bragging about how they are going to win the Region and then some.  Any team wearing Purple and has a light-shoed indian dancing around witha tom-tom has a screw lose anyway.  ;D
And whats the Hill's record against those purple teams again? Oh yeah, because dressing in a deflated eagle costume and doing the running man is so much more appealing!  ;D
 14.

Was Heard left out the 1st half against Lumberton an attempt to rest him, but in a 0-0 game at the half coaches decided to play him? Or was it something else?
Disciplinary action on Heard according to the Beaumont Surprise
Thanks. I thought central had no "Discipline"!  :D Couldn't help myself.  ;D He sure made a difference late in the game. He was fresh!
 15.
If this is true tryin to be cocky or anything it could be a easy ride for Brenham just saying Angelton,PNG and Dayton arent that as good as they were last year.
If we get in, we will most likely be DI. Depends on Nederland vs LCM Friday night. LCM win and we go DI.
 16. Was Heard left out the 1st half against Lumberton an attempt to rest him, but in a 0-0 game at the half coaches decided to play him? Or was it something else?
 17.
PNG comes back to earth and faces reality............Central by 17
I feel better now about our chances since LULUJUJU picked against us.  ;D
 18. I wont predict a W for the Indians, because I stopped predicting PNG games about mid season, but I will say that Vidor will not keep PNG under 14 points as one poster said. No one has done it yet, what makes anyone think Vidor will be the team to do it? As usual this year, this game will be a barn burner! Should be a lot of points on both sides of the board at nights end.
 19. You guys act like this is the first time Vidor has scheduled PNG for it's Homecoming. This would be the fourth time I have seen Vidors Homecoming halftime show in the past ten seasons! And each time the PNG side was filled before the Vidor fans began filling up their side.
 20.

I think Green Menace is saying the HS coaches don't have success when they go straight to being the head coach at the college level.  Didn't Notre Dame try this recently with a highly touted HS coach and that didn't work?  In hindsight, Dodge probably should have been hired as a OC first at the college level before being the head coach.
Well, then in that cast I agree with both of you. I just don't think Todd Dodge is a bad coach as he probably should have got his feet wet as a OC somewhere before taking on a Head Coaching position at a FBS level program.
Ala Art Briles! Got a good taste at Texas Tech after Stephenville before becoming HC. Of course most you of you may not be aware that Todd was an assistant at UNT in the mid 90's.
didnt set the world on fire before SLC,24-35 never finished above .500
Correct, but he took over really bad programs and was only at each of them for two years and they improved between year 1 and 2 at each stop. He also coached at Rockwall (State finalist) and McKinney (QFinals) as a QB coach and OC. The guy knows offense! He will be highly regaurded as an OC somewhere.
 21.
if nederland and central both lose this week ( just saying bear with me) and Png beats Vidor and the beats Central next week would png and central share the district championship ??????  I dont know if im right and thats quite unlilely but just maybe
Your Wrong! Nederland does not come into play in the DC scenario. Doesn't matter if they win or lose this weekend or next. If PNG beats Vidor and Lumberton beats Central...PNG and Central would play for a share of the DC in week 10. Livingston and LCM winner has a shot at a share as well. All others are out of the DC race.
 22.
Still think griffin is a run first quarterback?  Or "Pat White" like you would say.  If you do.........check out his stats this week.
You got alot of extra time on your hands! ::) OK I was wrong. Griffin is the greatest passing QB that the world has ever known and Pat White was total garbage as a QB. It had absolutely nothing at all to do with the offenses they ran!
 23. AJ25, while I agree with you, you have to realize that for several years on this forum there was a group of Lumberton fans that posted on every thread nothing but obnoxious dribble. Then they whinned about every Lumberton loss, and there were alot of 'em. Then they whinned at the start of each new season about Lumberton getting no respect, blah, blah, blah. Now more whining about referees costing them a game. Did the refs jump out to that 21-0 lead? PNG fans were happy that our defense was changed around and finally performed well against you guys and this is the junk that you guys (not you in particular) posted: Quote from: NAZERATH on October 09, 2010, 06:11:40 AM Even a blind squirrel can find a NUT every now and then! You win one game in District and now your the CHAMPS again. LOL!  You want get past Central or LCM! Well guess what, PNG prooved this guy wrong, not once, but twice so far (LTown and LCM). Lets hope his streak stays in tact! The irony in Nazareths post is that if we beat Vidor and you guys beat Central, the Central PNG game will be for the DC and Nazareths LTown boys will be 100% responsible! ;D
 24.
player 66, when did lumberton make excuses?
See below.
Pretty sure Lumberton people are not sore losers. You cant beat the team AND the referees. If they would have called the things on Nederland like all the holding and getting up and pushing Lumberton players down all the time Lumberton would have won.
When we played at Nederland they didn't not play their intro music (Metallicas "for whom the bell tolls"), which I love by the way, because we were playing Cherokee. Nor should they. It's there home field!!! So should we not play Cherokee because Lumberton might enter the field at the same time and play their fight song? WOW.
 25. Must be 2326 for Cooper. Didn't they have a short stint in 4A recently?? maybe I'm wrong.
