1.
In the district enrollment, it says lumberton has 1065.5 students.  Where do they get the .5 from?
You don't want to know!!!  :o ;D
 2.
Can they seriously talk money at this point?
Yep...She is officially a Junior now. I heard that she went to the McNeese camp last week and they quickly pulled her and her family aside and started talking about her future. Offered soon after. Great Stuff!
 3. You mean OOC 96 right?
 4. 2008 1st round pick (#10 overall) Catcher Jason Castro, third baseman Chris Johnson and OFer Jason Bourgeois will be in Astro Unis on Tuesday. Castro and Johnson will be everyday players according to management. Congrats kids...Welcome to the bigs...Now take this bat and go try and hit off of Tim Lincecum! ;D All three at AAA Round Rock this year.           Avg./OBP/Slug. Castro .265/.365/.355 - 4 HR - 26 RBI (32 walks and only 34 Ks). Last year he hit .300/.380/.446 - 10 HR - 73 RBI. Started off slow this year, but has turned it up lately. Very disciplined at the plate, unlike our current lineup except Berkman. A+ Defender, B+ Hitter, C+ Power. If he hits around .290/.380/.420 with 10+ HR each year and plays defense like they say, then we have a winner. Johnson .329/.362/.570 - 8 HR - 33 RBI (Only played in 38 games due to injury). This is the guy that hit 8 HR this Spring. His biggest problem is his defense. 10 errors in 38 games at third. Bourgeois .345/.405/.477 - 5 HR - 3 3B - 18 SB. Forest Brook HS Product. Probably wont see a lot of time until they trade away either Berkman or Lee.
 5.
Both are good and both will get a chance to prove theirself in a couple of months.
Maybe not. Forney may not start at QB. Nederland has another pretty good QB who was hurt in game one (Smith). Forney may be needed at DE more if Smith is healthy. The numbers for Forney are very good over a short period, but the biggest number was 3-1 and almost beating Crosby. The team was 2-5 and probably not going to the playoffs before they put him behind center. I love Doty as our QB, but it is hard to argue against what Forney did.
 6.
Forney ????? Please give me reasons why he is the best in 20 4a
Not hard to argue when you look at the numbers he put up and wins he helped them to! Completed 55% of his passes for 941 yards, 11 TDs and only 4 Ints in only 4 games of which they went 3-1. Forney 235 yds / 2.75 tds / 1 int per game and comleted 55%. Looks pretty good to me. Doty 163 yds / 1.25 tds / 1 int per game and completed 56%. Of course PNG had a stout running game and Nederland did not. Gonzo 164 yds / 1 td / 1.1 ints per game and completed 53%. He also rushed for 400 yds and 12 tds. The better athlete yes, not best QB. I saw them play several times and as a QB he really didn't throw the ball down field much at all. Most of his passes where the WR screen to Sonnier. Hughes 164 yds / 1.3 tds / 0.6 ints per game and completed 53%. He also ran the ball well.
 7.
2. PNG - No Refs saving you all this year....
Care to explain? Don't remember the Refs saving us any last year?? ::)
 8.
I think the SEC will go after Miami, Florida State and Georgia Tech. Just guessing though. That would give the SEC 16 teams.
Remember the ACC is a strong Academic Conference, maybe the strongest after the Ivy. Not sure GTech would want to join the SEC who is a poor academic conference outside of Vandy. This is one of the reasons UT has steered toward the Pac10 and not the SEC. Also many folks see Miami as a thug school due to all the issues with the Football teams over the years, but it is actually a very good school. Now FSU tends to bring down the ACC in the academic areas!
 9. Where's Gilmer?  :o
 10.
I just saw Gonzo in the weight room bustin out some serious weight!! Look out for him next year as he has put on some mass and also has gotten faster  :o. He will be the District 20-4a mvp, no doubt in my mind at all! May be the first District mvp in multiple sports!!
I see this is your first post...Well, welcome to the board Mrs. Gonzales. ;D
 11.
I like the 2cd pick, a UT commit. I think he will go to college though.
1st round picks out of HS should never go to college! What is there to gain? Go back and look at the past and most that have done this have regreted it big time.
 12.
Gonna be the best facility in SETX!   8) 8)
No doubt...Looks great from the highway.
 13.
Nederland is right where they need to be, flying under the radar. But dont count em out just yet. They have a lot of talent. Just watch.
I think alot of people are taking a wait and see approach with the BigNed Offense because they did not have an established ground game last year. Not very often that Neuman doesn't have a stud in the backfield, so two years in a row would be an oddity! I suspect someone will emerge from that tuff group of underclassmen.
 14. Orange Crush 97 is hosting a rag ball tournament on 6/19/10 at the Crush fields in West Orange to raise money for our World Series trip to Florida. The entry fee will be $125 per team and each team must have a minimum of 3 ladies.  For more information contact: Michael Shugart: 409-779-1593 Brad Dean:  409-540-3302 Virgil McFarland:  409-673-5410
 15.
I thought Texas and Florida had interest in Roberts. Will Garrett play QB in college or turn DB like most WOS QBs?
Interest and offers are two different animals.
 16.
What offense does Png run? Didn't Livingston running game put up big numbers against every team in the District?
No. Not every team!
 17. PNG's defense will be great up front. Maybe the best we have ever had. The line goes two deep with talent and will rotate and stay fresh. Schexneider, Easly, Thompson, Davis, Shetley, Wilson all returning. They will put a lot of pressure on the passing game and will help out a young secondary this year. And as usual they will be stout (diciplined) against the run. I think the PNG defense will be tops over Central this year. Offensively PNG will be good, but replacing Harmon will not be the biggest area of concern. Replacing Reyenga, Deron, Budoin and Segura at WR will be the biggest concern. Only Jalali returns. For this fact I think PNG will not have the top offense in the district this year. Defensively I'll rank PNG #1 Offensively I'll rank LCM #1
 18.
Yea the coaches know better and their record (11-21)for in the last 2 seasons shows it rite?? does that record show you that they know what they are doing? maybe you are one of the coaches and trying to cover your job.
Yeah and maybe you are one of those players that has been WRONGED!!!  ::) If Mathis was good enough to play overseas, him missing his Senior year is not going to hurt. So are none of the players actually going to college to get a degree?
 19.
Reggie Mathis ,Wesley, E.B Davis, the 3 seniors, will be the open scholarships for next year, Garza and Osas are likely to be the next guys to leave, got this info from an inside source. We talked highly about this athletes last yr b4 they got here, and now they are gone, this will be the same song that we will sing next yr.  Something is not right. Why recruit all these talents when you know that your not going to use them???? you can't really tell who is really good while they sit on the bench, wesley really did not got the chance to play, we did not even see Garza and Osas in uniform. some players that were great in this program  the last 2 or 3yrs can't make it in the next level, y'all should know who am talking about, and that should tell you something about this program. I feel bad for Mathis coz he is going to his senoir yr and now he's gone and will definitely loose some credits in class wherever he transfers to. That's pitiful!!
If by next level you are refering to the NBA, then you are dillusional. How many Low major players make it at the next level each year? How many mid majors make it for that matter? Very, very, very few!!! If you came to LU or any other SLC school with the intent of making it to the NBA then you were and will be in denial. The only reason anyone should sign with a Mid to Low Major is with the intent to get a degree and hopefully win a conference title!
 20. Wesleys brother (maybe step brother) was a star at Kansas. Langford maybe? I can't remember his last name.
Roc has brought in so many good talents in the past, but they never showed up when they wore lu jerseys, he don't know how to use these athletes, wesley is a very good player and was the best athlete on the team this yr, what will you say if he excels in KU??? i wish him all the best!! i tell u what? Roc was so upset when wesley told him he wanted to transfer.
Sounds like a Wesley family member! ::) I had high hopes for Wesley as a tall rangey outside player, but he looked very timid this season when he played. Good Luck at KU!
 21. Wonder if they are signing any Stoneridge Prep School players? That's the charter school his dad funds. He was on the LU roster for one reason only...Big James Davis!
 22. G 6'2" James G 6'2" Lamb G 6'6" Davis F 6'5" Nelson C 6'11" Custer G 6'1" Adams G 6'1" Miles G 6'2" Minor F 6'6" Harper C/F 6'8" Brown G 5'11" Harris G 6'1" Lynch G 6'4" Smith?? F 6'7" Brazier C 6'10" Ebomwonyi / 6'9" Kyser
 23. Now why can't Roc do this? Just announce who has signed and state the obvious at the end like tidwell did. "At the same time, I can't guarantee you that all of the players we signed are going to make it come fall either."
 24.
I predicted PN-G to win district!!!
Yes you did! Bravo!!! ;D
 25. Outside scoring!!!! This was the biggest weekness this year. The Davis kid shot 47% from outside (and took 232 shots) in a tough JUCO league. And at 6'6" he has the size to get off his shot over the typical 6'4" - 6'6" guys that will defend him at the 3. You don't shoot 47% on 232 shots by being lucky. The kid can shoot! Several of these guys shot 40%+ from outside. So hopefully that part of our offense will pick up tremendously. If so it will really open up the middle for Coy, Harper, Brown, and whoever else they bring in down low as well as free up Miles to get to the basket, which is what he does best.
