So BH is giving up 34 ppg in District and PNG is scoring 45 ppg, but the Hill is going to hold PNG to 28? Gotcha. I expect another shootout. 49-42 type. With the winner being whoever has ball last. All predicted on the new BH QB playing well.

And the officiating crew was somewhat incompetent to put it mildly.

Defense gave up 6 points tonight

So Dae Dae has one carry for 60 yards and a TD and looked elusive doing it like no one we’ve had at RB in a while then sits the rest of the half. Starting back has less than 10 yards total. Can someone explain the logic.

90% of the recruiting process is on the players in the modern world. Make a video and email, email, email. Then go to camps. College Coaches only want to hear from the HS Coach when they are seriously considering the kid. And even then they will make the contact to HS.

Don’t sleep on these Geese! Most improved team in district.

For those uneducated folks moaning about “Mid County” officials, here’s some knowledge for ya...there’s no such thing. Each team does not have their own officials. Officiating crews are not created like Rec league slow pitch softball teams, buncha buddies just decide to officiate football one day and voila they form a crew, show up at their favorite teams stadium in stripes, convince everyone there (including the opposing coaches) to put ‘em on the field so they can screw the Pirates out of what we all know was rightfully theirs!!! How about sometimes, actually 99% of the time, the team that won just outplayed the other enough to get the W. Congrats to both. Vidor has a good team. Work on a passing game just a bit and you beat Crosby, PNG and most teams you face.

Backup QB in. We run the ball down field to 25 then throw four passes and turn it over??? in the words of CC: ”COME ON MAN” -
Just read that Vidor will begin installing artificial turf in March. Nederland will be only grass field in district.

On a serious note, I must say that if BISD is paying $115 then the West Brook job looks much more inviting. Does anyone know if now with just two schools are all the middle schools zoned direct to one high school? In other words if WB coach knows which student athletes are coming his way he can setup his systems at the MS levels. This has been a big issue before in BISD.

Clearly Barbers Hill Just ask Westerberg!

Score? stay on topic folks.

Gameday backup has been the Sr. Rogers with the Sophomore Bost playing on JV. Rogers got in against Silsbee (4th Q) and Huntsville (Shug injury), but Bost took more preseason snaps in scrimmages. Most think/thought Rogers would finish out game if Shug injury occurred and Bost would possibly start next game if Shug was out. More about getting the Sophomore playing time on Thursdays versus him sitting on Fridays all year. So it makes perfect sense CC!

I thought 18 stepped in and played a good game.

Huntsville DLine is man handling our OLine. 99 now 80 (jersey change) is a beast.

“Manvel and Crosby have been two of the top 5A teams in the Houston area for the last decade” I agree. Won’t happen often with Cougar Fan, but Manvel and Crosby have been two of the top 5A teams in Houston area for the last decade. Manvel #1, Crosby not #2, but clearly a top ten annually in greater Houston.

MARK WAGGONER NAMED NEW HC/AD AT HAMSHIRE-FANNETT
badndn replied to dillonpanthers's topic in High School Football
In the meantime former well respected PNG assistant HC Joe Dale Carey who HF passed on a few years back was 7-5 at 4A D1 Crandall last year. His teacher wife is an HF grad and has family here. Most likely woudn’t have run away quickly like the other out of town options chosen. Good job HF. -
Um, then he prooved himself correct when Barry Switzer got a Super Bowl ring while woofing down hot dogs on the sidelines!
-
Some yes, but you can't teach 6'4" 290 lbs.
-
Aledo has big athletes. Big lines year in year out. That's something that's missing in local 5A. Teams have one or two big athletic linemen, but not 5.
-
Briles never coached at WF. He left SVille after 99 title and went to Texas Tech as RB coach. Kendall Briles transfered for Senior year to WF (a suburb of Lubbock) because that's where the family was.

Just saw that. Damn!!!!

No. Manvel will be 5A D1
