well that's terrible. scenario: Coach at a small school who just won state and also has a son(junior class) that played on that state team. Coach applies for a 5A coaching job gets the job and a higher pay, but now can't coach his own son his senior year. I understand that rule for teachers and the Pandora box. I am just talking about coaches.

As far as open campuses go....if a child enrolled in that school his/her 8th grade year then he/she will be eligible to play varsity sports his/her 9th grade year.

key word "immediately" so if parent gets hired during the summer but still resides in same house as always as does the child/student the student is not eligible to play varsity sports that whole year? IF so that's ridiculous. Child has to pay the price because parent got a new job.

Also. I forgot that OZEN got a move in at the beginning of school( playing football right now). He should help the team as well...and I forget about Calvin Tyler cause he was hurt most of the year. Like some have said we will see how the season shakes out. Preseason don't mean jack. And don't forget "HOMERS" im not saying they aren't good. They will be really good. Im just stating my opinion on a preseason ranking....

I don't know what Austin lbj, Houston yates, or palo duro have coming back. SNEED is very good. And comeaux is very consistent. but the others are a mixed bag of characters....never know what your gonna get. I wouldn't put to much stock in the srs besides comeaux. whose gonna rebound and protect the paint?

So tell me Soulja in your honest opinion is OZEN the #2 team in the STATE. In my opinion they are not even the #1 team in the district.....and I don't have a dog in the fight.

Take it for what it is....be a homer if you want....I watch plenty of ball. OZEN will be good and make a playoff run, but to say they are RANK #2 in the state...yeah and HF will win state.
