1. i was expecting a better game. Yeah Zach English was not very assertive.....Nederland had oppurtunities to score off of breaking HJ's press but didn't.  Nederland was in bonus for most of the 1st half, (time to get aggressive) take it to the rack but didn't settled for 3s in which they didn't make many.  . I know ned is missing a few football players, but they re not starters i know its only one game ive seenof Nederland this year but NED is not worthy of a state ranking IMO. Central and Ozen will more than likely be the front runners this year. Great Job HJ.
2. bring the pain just has issues with GOD being mentioned at a football game...
3. not this year....Nederland will take it...sorry Nash
4.
They need to fire the cheerleading sponsor for shipwrecking the entire season.  Those girls shifted the focus from football to signs and lawsuits, and they underachieved in district IMO>
nice try pain.....  this is a basketball school and will always be.  ur in district with newton, ec, kirbyville, anahuac....kountze doesn't really have a shot in football. The coach couldn't make up his mind on a qb and when he finally did, he picked the wrong one.
5. what was the final tally?
6. What i heard could be hearsay.....
7. Well from what i heard......he's out.
8. Any news on Kountze HC?
9. i see montana and the vidor pirates out in first round, though i am pulling for them. And i see Roberts and  Ec possibly winning their first round
10. I could careless about preseason predictions they really mean nothing. we'll find out in february whose done what
11. TABC must have took coaching into consideration when picking
12. How bout Glenn Roberts from EC for Offense I know Montana will win it, but check Roberts Stats....the stats haven't been updated either
13. I see the PG as I see a Quarterback.  Most important position on the team.

16. For Girls HF  1st BC  2nd not sure who got third
17. It will be HJ AND OF at the top easily.  HF lost significant seniors last year.  Only 1 significant senior and 2 significant juniors for HF are returning and they have no significant size coming back.....maybe some JVers.  And one of those juniors seems to have lost heart for the game.  SO i will say the 3rd spot is up for grabs this year.
I remember House. Yes he is the all time leading scorer in Texas high school history. I believe this list takes in consideration what a player did during and after high school, i.e. college and pro. As for House scoring, I have seen his numbers and saw him play in state tourney. I believe you put many players in his position on those teams and given the opportunity to shoot as many times as House did, you would see someone else at the top of the all time scoring list. I really wasn't that impressed with House and his game. Played zero defense (which showed up in college) and in that semifinal I saw him play in Austin, he attempted by himself a total of 49 shots!! All he had to do was convert just 25-30% and he scores 25 or more points. I have no problem with House not being on this list.
very true.....

23.
HF lost 4 seniors, but will have alot more size than last year.  Unfortunately only 1 sr who played any significant minutes last year, so VERY young......
but is that size significant....
24. don't be surprised if another team takes that 2nd place finish in 21-3a from HJ.
25. You have to remember Yates and Central (im assuming, so correct me if im wrong) play the same style basketball.....  Now here is where coaching and experience pay off..... Central playing a team that is more discplined and fundamental and slow the pace down....can central coaches make adjustments against different styles of play.
