my "move" comment wasn't intended for anyone specific because it happened when i was in school.  I was part of that 98 99 hf team.  our 7th and 8th grade year we had a record of 25 - 3.  We had a 6'6" 350 big man that could move, 6'5" big man, 2 6'3" wings along with good guard play.  our freshman year me and one of the posts moved up to varsity while our freshman still had a record of 27 - 1. ....thats 52 - 4 in 3 years,  but after our freshman year, one guy moved, another got into drugs and moved, another died, another got into a bad car wreck and couldn't play anymore.  only 2 starters from those years were still there as seniors.

i believe Hamshire Fannett won its only District Championship in 98-99 season....not alot of tradition there. probably could ve had more if we didn't have move outs.

who cares.....its the end result that matters

i was told by student that Atwood is on varisty at Central. 

i wouldnt have high expectations of Boyd.  lets see if he can keep his grades up and his attitude and lack of discipline in check. Anybody know where Atwood off of last years 8th grade king team is at?

i go with the first philosphy Was the qb rotating with the 2nd and 3rd string qbs?  i believe i know the answer to this, but if im wrong let me know.

that is true...  but learning all skills makes you more valuable are more productive.  a 6'4" guard can post up vs man in D1 if theres a slight mismatch and he has good post skills.  So what about 6'8" and above kids.  If you learn the skills and can perform them in a game and be productive on a consistant basis, you [b]may[/b] have a ticket to the NBA...because it is so scarce.

i always believed in the inside out approach to a game.  It also gets the team in foul trouble, gets your team in the bonus, and its free points if they can make FTs

If HF comes out like they did against LIBERTY, then i believe it will be a good game until halftime and then WOS will wake up.  I know LIBERTY is not that good, but the way HF came out They were flying around and looked quick to the ball on Defense.  I wasn't expecting that type of play and execution from HF.  WOS wins it

ahhh. all the bigs now wanta play point forward.....shoot the 3 and cross over finding a big like, Hakeem, Robinson, Shaq, Howard, Ewing, Barkley (though not a big by height, but played like a big man) Kareem, etc.......  few and far between.  almost a dying breed.

[/quote] Yes there are at least 2 maybe 3 that will make an impact.  One is really good, but has issues with grades and attitude......and the mom aides it

i agree he is the best post player in area, very smart and fundamental as well.  But there aren't many other descent post players in area.  So it wouldnt be hard for him to be the best.

I was referring to the weights for those that are fortunate enough to play at the next level...start your strength training after basketball season so you'll be ready by your freshman year of college

Dallas Kimball will likely repeat....sorry Central peeps.  Beaumont always has athletes and thats how they win....  Kingwood Park will be tough, because they are so disciplined and very well coached unlike beaumont.  I would like to see them and Nederland square off
