I suppose after playing WOS and Dayton in scrimmages Nederland might be ready for the 4.64 speed the twins will bring. The real question is how will the twins hold up to the DLine that averages 270 lbs and motors between 4.8 - 5.0. Not to mention a couple salty linebackers that will flat take your head off. I also like the addition of a 6'2" 185 lb redshirt safety whose hits will make the likes of Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater proud. Think I'm fooling? Just pass the ball over the middle and take your chances. This kid is plain crazy. I expect Crosby and the twins will be very competitive with any team they play. One thing is for sure, they will be feeling it against Ned's D. Good Luck and stay healthy 

May be even more debate. There were five wanting to participate today, but Neumann would not allow til they're all cleared and legit. I don't know who's manning your gate over there Scooter, but someone is letting horses get out of the stable.  :P

I don't believe my post said anything about when he would start playing games and certainly didn't state he played for the varsity last year. I will be the first to admit, I am not an expert about underclassman transferring from an academically unacceptable school, but I do believe the rules are somewhat different given the circumstances no? If my memory serves me correctly, similar circumstances have had the experts, of this forum, baffled in the past as to the proper rules as well. One thing I do know, Neumann and company will follow the rules and they will make sure all is approved before this young man takes the field. 

Don't worry BG, one missing from your stable won't make a difference on your state championship team this year. Not going to mention the kids name cause most from PA move back immediately when they can't cut the academics at Ned. He just made the jump this summer so if all goes well he will be wearing black and gold for the first time this fall. Come out for 2-a-days and see for yourself. I'll be there will you?  8)

I can't wait to watch the PA transfer run the ball. He looks like he can truck some boys. We'll find out soon.

It appears a wild pack of DOGS have just chased an intruder/trader known as Purple Passion aka NedBD,  out of Nederland, and he is hanging upside down mounted to the Totem Pole at Merriman and Magnolia. The DOGS are still on the scene and they look hungry. If any NDNS want him back bring plenty of steaks or weapons.  :o If any other fans wish to jump ship, for fear of this years outcome, we will welcome you with open arms. Just behave and be humble. Oh yea you must wear black and gold.  8)

Boy, every city has their version of the overzealous, obnoxious, embarrassing fan or fans. I don't know where NedBD came from, but he/she obviously isn't part of the humbleness Neumann and Co. wish to portray. Is it possible he/she isn't truly a NED fan? Although I will admit, this team should be very good and we are all hoping for a long playoff run; however, I wouldn't book my seat at Jerry's house just yet. How about someone start a thread where each city can trade fans? I would like to nominate NedBD ( if he/she is truly a NED fan) and possibly myself at times.  ;D

I wouldn't be too disappointed Brenhamfan and PN-G bamakid, you would get tired of beer and opossum every night.  :D

I hear what you're saying BrenhamFan. Your strength has been the D recently. Your O did average 37 points per game last year and Ozen held you to 10. Now was Ozen's D well coached or was your district weak?  My point was directed to the misguided ndn fan who said most of what got Ozen through the playoffs was not coached. I am begining to see a different Ozen. Better coaching and more discipline makes for a dangerous team with all those athletes.

No doubt Green was Mr. everything. There must have been some coaching though, for it was the D that held All-mighty Brenham to only 10 ponits in the playoffs. I think the young guns learned a great deal last year. Personally, I thnk Ozen will be one of the teams that will keep your ndns out of the playoffs this year.

Ozen would be smart to work on the 10 yd and under passes. Mostly quick passes, slants, screens etc. Than bust a long one. You want to get it in the athletes hands and let the speedster perform. I would welcome any team that loaded the box to stop the run.  Cause your gonna get burnt on a quick pass. 

Agreed. Too many great athletes and too much speed. I have Ozen taking 3rd in district and possibly 2nd. Mr excitement will burn many this year.

Me too. Can't wait to see how we match up to a top 10 team, even if it is at their house. I just hope we are at full strength at that point. After playing WOS, Dayton, Crosby and GCM we're bound to be a little beat up. I just hope we don't have any casualties.

I see the district similar to you.   1)  Nederland   2)  Vidor   3)  Ozen   4)  Central However, I do see the #4 spot being up for grabs between Central, Livingston, and possibly LCM. I believe PNG and Lumberton will be at the bottom. Two years ago I made the comment we were all going to see how good Faircloth really is in 2012. I just don't think they have much in their stable. Good teams find ways to win when they need to. A good team makes the clutch plays when the game is on the line.  Ned was the better team last year and proved just that when they had to. It should be a shoot out again this year. It is hard to predict what Bolinger would have done against Ned, for he wasn't a factor prior to getting knocked out. Instead of the party with ifs and buts, maybe some should focus their energy on the upcoming game.
