  1. That is the trouble with this next generation --- They all want to start at the top. I say get your butt on the field and earn your spot. This is an insult to those that have been busting theirs to get where they are. By the way, if this is his attitude going in, than he won't last anyway. You have to love the game to play. Those two-a-days are hard work Bill.
  2. It'LL be a Soph. Showdown at Ned Rec tonight around 6:30. HJ vs Ned #1. Bosha vs Weisbrod. Who ya got?
  3. cbosha, I say the heck with Beaumont. We need a guard, of his caliber, in Nederland. I will offer room/board and tutoring if needed. We will welcome him with open arms. He will be treated like my own son. No promises on the All-District, or All-Region teams. PM me for further details.
  4. DogFan3 you just ain't no fun. I'm trying to fill the arena with wonder and you are letting the cat, or should I say dog, out of the bag.
  5. Hey, I'm not making the decision, I'm just reporting the news..........The starters will not be the regular 5 tonight.  You heard it here first from THE BULLDOG NETWORK.  Let's go DOGS!  ;)
  6. Let's be realistic. Dayton doesn't have a prayer. Coach E has soooooooooo much confidence he isn't even going to start his regular 5. I know one town that needs to stick to football.  :P
  7. Ok, I'll take the music majors, hire DV than they'll be in Austin in 2 years. Mark my word!  :P
  8. No player on Ned's JV will see significant time, at the varsity level, next year. However, they split with a team that has several player's that could be starters on a lot of the varsity teams in the area. I don't know what this says about either team. This basketball stuff is sooooooooooo confusing. Can you please explain any of this to me Dick?  :o :o
  9. Hey NED Old-Timers, I'll bet you would have never dreamed Nederalnd's winning record would be the hot topic on a basketball thread in SE TX. You gotta love it.
  10. I was thinking the same thing Dawg. ADJUSTMENTS! According to most on here the Ozen and Central coaches can't coach and it is their superior talent that is keeping them in the game. Can't wait to see the adjustments. Maybe we will actually see a real play or set this time around.
  11. I believe Ned and WOS are scheduled to scrimmage this year.
  12. WOW! If LCM is truly a playoff team, than there appears to be quite a gap between #1 and #4 or #2 and #4 in 20-4a.
  13. It's all about as many games as possible and more playing time for English. He prefers to play the very best teams he can find and isn't afraid to throw his dog's to the dog's so to speak. Many coaches are worried about accumulating wins - thus weak schedules. English believes your team gets better by playing better talent. These boy's will be ready by district for their run, even without those so called PA players from last year.  ;)
  14. There were a lot of very good DE's this year in 20-4a. I'm sure Davis received some votes.
  15. The Dogs are not at full strength. Missing the depth will hurt in this game. Given HJ will have the home -  cookin the Hawks win by 15 +. Take it to the bank.
  16. Just noticed the bracket shows date and time. All Ned fans need to make it a full day of football and cheer on our 20-4a Panthers at 2:00; than go onto our game just 20 miles down the road at 6:00. I will also attend the Vidor game Friday night. I'm sure there are other football nuts like me. Good luck to all 20-4a teams and our cousins from Dayton.  :)
  17. What is the game time and location for this shoot-out?
  18. That a boy big boy Clark keep powering
  19. Da Bears are awake and PO'd  Hold on Vidor
  20. Apparently Da Bears went into early hibernation this winter. GOOOOOOOOO VIDOR and the rest of 20-4a. Brenhamfan may be thinking tomorrow may be tougher than he originally thought.  ;D
  21. No doubt Brenham is the favorite and the better team. When you're facing one of the most dangerous QB's in the state, with a supporting cast, anything can happen. Ozen will have to play the game of their life to even keep it close. One thing about Green, he handles pressure quite well. Good luck Panthers
  22. IT'S PLAYOFF FOOTBALL ---- It is time to allow Raines to roll out (where he can see) and throw or tuck and run. If we keep worrying about protecting him for the next game -- The next game will never come. Raines rolling out w/option ( like he did earlier in the year) will give teams fits. The kid has some wheels. He just needs to learn when to get down or cut the run short. I would also like to see us go over the top to Kimmler (6'2" and can dunk a BB). The dbs will only get taller, faster and more skilled up the line. Kimmler brings a physical side no other receiver on the team has. Why are we not using the spectacular TE we keep hearing about? I sure hope we can mix it up more. I am not ready for the season to end. I say Go for Broke or Go Home.
  23. THIS JUST IN --  Several eagle fans were seen tonight still wondering around the stadium. They all appeared in a trance as if they were in an episode from Night of the Living Dead. They all appeared to be mumbling just two words --- Get Him! Get Him! Get Him! Get Him! -----OH!  Sorry my bad I guess it was three words.  :P
  24. Already got my ticket Jack. I will be there rooting on the NDNS with broom in hand. Go 20-4a
